He was born in Abilene, Texas on November 17, 1869. He moved from Weatherford to the Grimes community in 1900. He was married February 14, 1897, to Miss Laura Williams at Holdenville, Oklahoma. Survivors are his wife Laura Brewer of Grimes, three daughters, Mrs. Donna Winburn of Sayre, Mrs. Thelma Cox of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mrs. Edith Sternzon of Sacramento, California; five sons, Bert of Amarillo, Texas; Jim of Mojave, California; Dee and Ray of Eureka, California and Bace of the Grimes community. Services were held Friday at the Sunny Point community buiuldsing with Rev. Marvin Nelson officiating. Committal was in the Dempsey cemetery, Dempsey, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
