At an early age he moved with his family to Old Goodwin, Oklahoma. He later moved to Higgins, Texas where he resided until he went to World War I. After returning from the war he was united in marriage to Elsie Stephenson on May 19, 1923. To this union was born four children, R.V. Glassey of Liberal, Kansas, Laverne Beason of Baldwin Park, California, Steve Glassey, Perryton, Texas, and Ida Belle Glassey, Crawford. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. He had been a Christian for many years. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and children, eleven grandchildren, two brothers, John Glassey, Tacoma, Washington, Clarence Glassey, Shelton, Washington; two sisters, Sadie Fahey, Tacoma, Washington, and Eva Nordyke, Puyallup, Washington, other relatives and a host of friends.
