He passed away suddenlty of a heart attack Tuesday, August 9, 1955, at 5 p.m., in the home of his son B.L. Paries, of Whittier, California, where he had been visiting for three weeks. He was 80 years, 4 months old. He had been seriously ill for the last six months, but was much better the last six weeks. He was married to Miss Ola Caraway at Caddo Mills, Texas, September 19, 1897. To this union four children were born. Two preceded him in death, a son, Eddie, 2 years of age in Texas, and Mineola Pharies moore, at Dempsey in 1925. He leaves to mourn, one daughter, Mrs. Alice Turner, and a son, B.L. Pharies, both of Whittier, Califonia, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Anita Nix of Bay Town, Texas, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. They moved to eastern Oklahoma and then to Sweetwater. They lived at Berlin five years and in 1917 moved to Reydon where he has since made his home. He was convrted and baptised into the Baptist church in 1909, at Meridian where he retained his membership. He joined the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows at Berlin and Reydon lodges, He was Representative several times at Grand Lodge and District Deputy for 20 years. He bethe Elk City Encampment and attended all meetings as long as he was able. He was a true Christian Odd Fellow, always ready to help in sickness or when needed. He was a devoted father, neighbor and friend and was loved by all who knew him. His children, five grandchildren, all great grandchildren and a niece came for the funeral. Funeral services were held at the Reydon community building Saturday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Horace Woodard officiating. Interment was in White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. The I.O.O.F. Lodge had graveside rites. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
