She was married to John A. Goodwin on December 2, 1891, at Fort Worth, Texas. She came to Roger Mills County in 1914, and had resided in the Durham and Crawford communities since. She was a long time member of the Baptist Church. Surviving her are her daughter, Mrs. Lillie May Butler, Durham; three sons, Walter A. of San Antonio, Texas; Robert L. of Durham, and John A. of Seminole, Texas; to sisters, Mrs. Mollie Richerson of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Lula Carson, Fort Worth, Texas. She also is mourned by eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Services were held in the Durham school auditorium Wednesday, February 2, 1955. Officiating were Rev. Sanford Cole and Rev. Vernon Rowley. Burial was in Fairview cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne in charge. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
