A long time member of the Methodist Church of Kerrville, Texaas, he was born July 5, 1918, at Berlin, Oklahoma. He was prceded in death by his father one brother and one sister. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Estelle Laxton, Oklahoma City, one sister, also of Oklahoma City, and one brother, Jack Laxton, Camp Chaffee, Arkansas. Services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Berlin Methodist church with Rev. Lonard Cronin of the First Methodist church of Sayre officiating. Interment was in the Berlin cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with military services conducted by the American Legion, Cheyenne. Scroggins Funeral home was in charge of aarrangements.
