Parkhurst waas born at Endicott, Nebrasks, July 31, 1884 and passed away February 8, 1954, at 8:20 a.m. at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 8 days. He came to Oklahoma at the age of 10 years. He was married to Miss Amanda Carter, March 29, 1905. To this union seven children were born: Johnnie of Butler, OK, James of California, Charles and Roy of the home address, the daughters are Emma Mills, Maudie Cowan, and Rachel Allinger, all of California. Also left to mourn his loss are 16 grandchildren, one brother John, one sister, Lillie Gregory. He was loved by all who knew him. He was a christian gentleman, endorsing everything for the best interest of his community. He was a good and loving father and grandfather. He was a good neighbor, a devoted husband. Funeral serv ices were conducted at the Cheyenne Church of Nazerne, Thursday, with Rev. A.T. McKimlay preaching the sermon.
