Crane was born July 7, 1877 in Tarrant County, Texas and departed this life on May 2, 1954 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. In 1898 he was united in marriage to Lillian Edwina Johnson. In 1905 they came to Oklahoma and estaablished a home near old Rankin in Roger Mills County. In 1912 the family moved to Hammon where he lived until Mrs. Crane's death in 1930. He has made Cheyenne his home since 1931 when he became County Judge. In 1938 he was married to Willie T. Cooper of Cheyenne. Judge Crane is survived by his wife of Cheyenne, a son, Glen F. Crane, also of Cheyenne, three daughters who are Evangel Morrow of Hammon, Oklahoma, Voncile Rivers and Cleta Trent, both of Del City, Oklahoma, a step-son, Trammell Bowman of Santa Fe, New Mexico; a brother, Walter Crane of Elk City, a sister, Mrs. Mollie Middleton of Oregon, 12 grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Judge Crane had been a member of the Baptist church for many years. For 40 years of his life he taught a Sunday School class. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
