She was baptised in the Catholic faith when an infant, and confirmed at the aage of 14 years. She was married to John Hamlin, at Ceneterville, Iowa, and they moved to Kansas, then to Colorado. There her husband was taken ill, and they returned to Ceneterville, Iowa, where he died. She was married on January 27, 1927, to Johnnie Hawthorne aat Sayre, Oklahoma. They lived on the home place near Crawford. After the death of Mr. Hawthorne she sold the farm and moved to Cheyenne. This was in 1943. She died in the Cheyenne hospital Wednesday morning, February 13, 1957, and was buried buried for St. Joseph's Church Feburary 14, 1957. Interment in Fairview cemetery, Durham, OK
