He moved to what was known as Old Day County, in 1900, where he had resided ever since. He was married to Nellie Shroyer on July 7, 1905. To this union was born seven children, One son, Chester, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of Cheyenne, four sons, Warren of Durahm, Hershel of Amarillo, Texas, Kenneth of Fresno, California, Elgin of Mammoth, Arizona, and two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Pyeatt of Canadian, Texas and Mrs. Joe Grissom of Porterville, California. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. C.R. Brinlee of Los Banos, California and Mrs. Hugh Blurton of Centralia, Washington, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
