Barfield, 52, a truck driver, died Sunday evening in St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, Texas, from injuries received in a truck accident 6 weeks ago. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Erick. Officiating will be Rev. Walter Knox. Burial will be Erick cemetery, with Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was born June 24, 1932 in Wheeler County, Texas. He attended school in the Meridian and Sweetwater communities. He was married in 1951 in Sweetwater to Mildred Kester. In 1962 at Modesto, California he was married to onna Hartine. He lived there for 24 years, moving to Erick in 1980. He was a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church. Survivors are: his wife, Donna, of the home in Erick; three daughters, Karen Barfield, Amarillo, Texas, Mary North, Erick; Suzanne Barfield, of Erick; three sons Bob and Jim, both of Erick; Jeff of Cheyenne; his mother, Mrs. Rosa Barfield of Erick; two sisters, Roberta Smith of Erick and Wanda Fourier, of McLean, Texas.
