He was married to Effie Hyer December 18, 1896. To this union four children were born. He leaves to mourn his passing Marie Black of Ingelwood, California, Guy Ayers of Redonio Beach, California, Clark Ayers of Redondo Beach, California and Alma Ator of Durham, Oklahoma.
