Drake was born on October 15, 1879 in Madison County, Tennessee. He departed this life December 14, 1964 at the Cheyenne Hospital. In 1901 he was united in marriage to Sudie Galbreth at Madisonville, Kentucky. To them were born two daaughters and five sons. From Kentucky he came to Oklahoma in 1917 and has since resided in Roger Mills and Beckham Counties. Mr. Drake was a member of the Methodist church and the Masonic Lodge. His wife, Sudie, preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters Mrs. Frances Brickell of sayre and Mrs. Helen Hughes of Lancaster, California; five sons, Hershel of Chicago, Illinois, Fred of Dunsmire, California, George of Sentinel, Jack of Oklahoma City, and Dudley of Los Banos, California; one brother J.E.
