Whitaker, 75, who died in her home in Hammon Monday, February 27, 1969 were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church of Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, with Rev. Paul Whitaker officiating. Burial was in Dreamland cemetery, Canyon, Texas. Miss Whitaker was born September 30, 1893, in Luray, Kansas. She was a school teacher by profession and had lived and taught school in Amariloo, prior to moving to Hammon two years ago.
