She passed away May 28, 2002 in Eirck, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years and 17 days. She was married to Orville O. Merilatt at Clayton, New Mexico on October 31, 1938. She graducatedc from Erick High School in 1941. She worked in an aircraft factory for a short time in Pampa, TX during WWII. She was a lifelong resident of Erick and attended Erick First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sons, 1 grandson, and 1 granddaughter. Survivors include: three daughters, Pat Weems and husband Steve of Blossom, TX., Frieda McKenzie and husband Dalton of Van, TX., Diana Harkins and husband Tom of Erick, OK..; three sons, Johnnie Merilat and wife Carolyn of Sayre, OK., Ronnie Merilatt and wife Susan of Fort Worth, TX., Steve Merilatt and wife Hilda of Erick, OK.; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
