Taylor 63, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian church in Elk City. John I. Taylor waas the first president of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau and served in that capacity 12 years. He resigned at the time of the death of his father, J. Luther Taylor in 1957, to devote his time to the administration of the estate. Later he was assistant director of legislation for the National Farm Bureau in Washington, D.C. He operated a ranch at Mountain View where he resided for a number of years. Later he moved to Elk City. For the past few years he had resided in Oklahoma City where he was manager of the Nichols Feed and Fertilizer Company. He was a 32nd degree mason and for years was captain of an outstanding Scottish Rites drill team of Elk City. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Survivors include, the wife of Oklahoma City, two sons, Jim of Berlin in Roger Mills County, Joe of Mountain View, seven grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Jene Newman of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Ed Hayhow of Hillsdale, Michigan. It was his request and that of the family that memorial be gifts to the Cancer Fund. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok 1965
