Wilmoth pioneer resident of Roger mills county who died at her home in Canadian, Texas on June 18, 1953 following a lengthy illness were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Union church at Gem, Texas. She was born march 13, 1862 in Boston Mount, Arkansas and was married to William F. Wilmoth in September 1880. She was a long-time member of the Baptist Church. The couple came to Indian Territory in 1901 from Missouri and lived near Strong City until recently when she moved to Canadian, Texas to make her home. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. E.H. Wright, Canadian, Texas, Mrs. J.I. Thierstein, Milwaukee, Wisc; Mrs. Frank Nebhut, Crawford, Oklahoma and Mrs. F.H. Thierstein, Gem, Texas; two sons: H.R. and Grover Wilmoth, both of Gem, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Rhoda Talbert of Cassville, Mo. The Rev. Taft Holloway and the Rev. Sanford Cole officiated. Burial was in the Prairie Dell cemetery, near Gem, Hemphill County, Texas with the Scroggins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
