Burial was in the Eller Flat cemetery near Gem, Texas. Mr. Shaw was born May 16, 1872 at Sedalia, Benton County, Missouri. His parents moved to the Indian territory of Oklahoma when he was a small boy. He moved to his present home in April, 1892, where he spent the remaining years of his life. Matt Shaw was married December 24, 1902 to Nancy Caroline Ownbey. To this union were born four children: Milford, who lives at home; Carl, Durham, Oklahoma; Teresa, Amarillo, Texas; and Thoral of Sand Lake, Michigan. Mr. Shaw was a member of the Church of Christ of Durham, Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife, four children, five grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Annie Riley, Canadian, Texas and Mrs. Luella Ficks, Amarillo, Texas. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK 17-Oct-1946
