Verden Sizemore, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Sizemore, was born at Rasttan, Oklahoma March 23, 1920 and died at Fairfield Suisun, California, A.A.B., September 13, 1946 at the age of 26 years, 5 months and 22 days. He came to Cheyenne in the year of 1944 and made it his home until his induction into the army November 10, 1945. On May 23rd, 1946 he was married to Miss Allene Townsend at Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Those who mourn his passing are his wife, father and mother, of Cheyenne; four sissters Mrs. James Gregory, Woodlake, Califonria, Mrs. Zelno Whitson, Mrs. Alice Whitson , Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Mrs. John Verdue, Pine Bluff, Arkansas; six brothers, Calvin, Texasarkana, Texas, Orbie, Charlie and Arthur, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Deet of Howe, Oklahoma; aand Walter of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and a number of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, September 17 at 2:30 p.m. at the Cheyenne Methodist Church. Rev. A.L. Oden , pastor of the Pentecostal Holiness church of Cheyenne assisted by Rev. R.P. Hatchett of the Elk CFity Penytecostal Holiness churh. He was laid to rest in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Tunnard's Funeral Home.
