She was the youngest of nine children born to the family. Irene was raised in Rhea, attending Rhea grade school and Leedey High School, graduating with the class of 1934. She was married to John Anderson Logan on August 2, 1934 in Arapaho, Oklahoma. Two children were born to this union; Dorothy Marlene and Bobby Anderson. The family lived near Rhea until 1954 when they moved to Taloga. Irene was the Dewey County Court Clerk and also worked as a legal secretary for the Dewey County District Attorney. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and traveling. Irene was baptized at a young age and was a member of the Leedey Church of Christ. She attendeed the Seiling Church of Christ in her later years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adison Marion Ferrell and Adeline Ladora Vaughn Ferrell; a granddaughter, Vicky Logan Lynch; and by siblings, Boyd, Floyd, Ruth, Florednce, Thelma, John, and two infants. She is survived by her beloved husband, John of the home, by her children, Marlene Grant of Schaumburg, Illinois and Bobby Logan and wife Anita of Taloga, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and by several nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends. Services were held Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in the Church of Christ, Leedey, Oklahoma with interment following in the Rhea Cemetery. Services arranged by Shaw Funeral Home, Taloga, Oklahoma.
