My mother is Eva Lee Higgins Nunn Taylor--sister of Russell T. Higgins. My grandfather (Ernest Higgins) always told my mother that he was of Choctaw descent. I am trying to find proof. My grandmother was Lula E. Chisum Long Higgins. She was of Cherokee descent, but I haven't been able to find any proof. I would appreciate any information anyone might have.
