He departed this life on April 20, 2006 at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 24 days at his home south of Arnett, Oklahoma. Jr. grew up on the Heinsohn family Farm where he helpeed with the many activities of farm life and this is where he learned to love the land. Jr. started school at Packsaddle completing his formal education in Arnett, Oklahoma. Then to continue his education Uncle Sam calledd, so Jr. enlisted in the United States Army on February 19, 1957 and waas stationedd at Ft. Lewis, Washington. He received his Honorable Discharge on May 31, 1963. Upon returing home Jr. continued his love for the land by taking a job with the Detrixhe's around Higgins, Texas for a few yeaars. Then he returned to the family farm also working for neighboring ranchers and farmers. Jr. always madde time to do a little fishing and hunting and was a marksman with a rifle. Jr. was preceded in death by his parents Ivan Leon and Martha Ann Heinsohn, brothers, Rollin, Raymond and Doyle, one niece Lola (Miller) Pshigoda, 2 nephews, Leslie Pshigoda and Robert Heinsohn. He is survived by his two sisters, Norma Lee and husband Max of Arnett, Oklahoma, and Margaret Ann Town and husband Don of Bridgeport, Texas, 3 sisters-in-law, Sue Heinsohn of Arnett, Eileen Heinsohn of South Dakota and Dorothy Heinsohn of Shattuck, several nieces, nephews, and other family and many friends. Services were held Monday, April 24, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at The Christian Church at Arnett, Oklahoma interment following at the DeBolt CFemetery, Arnett, Ellis County, Oklahoma under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home.
