Jones of Sapulpa died April 30, 2006 at the Ranch Terrace Nursing Home at the age of 82. Goldie was born October 12, 1923 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and had lived in Sapulpa for the past 11 years moving here from Elk City; she was a retired nurse aide and was a member of the Church of Christ and the D.A.V. Auxiliary in Elk City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleve and Ruthie Smith and her first husband William Dow Puman. Survivors are her son Dow Putman of Glenpool, OK; grandchildren, William Putman, Jennifer and Melissa Summers and James Putman; great grandchild, Haley; brother Woodrow Smith and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Jones were set for 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Smith Funeral Chapel and interment followed at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, OK.
