When he was 17 years of age he moved with his parents to Enid, Oklahoma. In 1901 he moved to Western Oklahoma and homesteaded near Gage. On July 15, 1902 he and Irene Sheehan were married. Their childeren are Walter Viers, Sayre, Oklahoma, Beulah Viers, Ima Marshall and Beatrice Marshall of Cheyenne. About thirty-four years ago he became a member of the Church of Christ and lived a faithful Christian life to his death. His family will always remember his Christian life and his goodly influence. Besides his wife and children he leaves four grandsons and two sisterss, Mrs. Zeta Haines, Gage, Oklahoma, Mrss Ica Van Devanter, Mountain View, Oklahoma and a number of nephews, nieces and friends.
