Johnston was born at Fort Worth, Texas September 19, 1886. He passed away at Elk City, Oklahoma, April 9, 1948. He was 61 years, six months and 21 days of age. Mr. Johnston was united with he Christian church when a young man. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Mrs. Pearl Johnston of Elk City, Oklahoma. One daughter, Mrs. J.R. Hardesty and one grandson, Tommy Hardesty, both of Denver, Colorado, and a host of friends. Funeraql services were held Sunday, April 11, 1948 at Reydon with Rev. Horace Woodard in charge.
