She passed away December 3, 2001 in Sayre, OK at the age of 66 years 11 months and 1 day. She was raised in the Durham Community where she attended Durham Schools. Vondell was married to James Albright at Durham, OK on September 2, 1966. After marring James in 1966, she moved to Ft. Smith, Arkansas where she resided until 1986 when she moved back to the Durham Community. She was a member of Nazerene Church in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She had been in the Cheyenne Care Center for the last several years. Vondell was preceded in death by her father, one sister, Karen Sue Hensley. Services will be held December 6, 2001 at 10:00 AM at the Durham First Baptist Church, officiated by Ray Smart. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Survivors include: mother, Erma May Gantz Hensley, Cheyenne, OK; brothers, Glen and wife Sherry hensley, Cheyenne, OK, Ronald and wife Darlene Hensley , Durham, OK, Addie and wife Norma Hensley, Pampa, TX, Dale and wife Pat Hensley, Clovis, NM, Quinlin and wife Roxie Hensley, Altus, OK, sisters, Winonia and husband Robert Jones, Gould, OR, Patricia and husband Lee Minjarez of Alamagordo, NM; and a host of other relatives and friends.
