The son of Lewis and Margaret Lantz. He departed this life April 15, 1966 at Cheyenne Hospital at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 21 days. When he was approximately two years old his mother passed away. One sister and one brother had died in infancy. Whe he was 5 years of age he and his father moved to Custer City, Oklahoma. His father had filed on a homestead near Durham, Oklahoma. In 1907 he moved to the homestead at Durham. In 1918 he was inducted into the army serving his couney in World War I receiving his discharge in 1919. He was united in marriage to Lauella Montgomery at Strong City, Oklahoma July 4, 1931. To this union 3 boys and 1 girl were born the three boys dieing in infancy. 1 sister Edith preceded him in death in 1940. He has been a member of the Church of God for 35 years. Survivors include his wife Lauella of the home in Cheyenne, 1 daughter Margaret Crawford and Delbert Craweford son-in-law of Elk City, Oklahoma. 2 grandchildren, Melba Jean and Delbert Luthan Crawford.
