Betty Kae was the daughter of Junior Buford and Betty Mae Griffin Damron of Sayre. She died in a local hospital, following a two weeks illness. Funeral services were conducted Monday, August 2n, 1946 at the Assembly of God Church, Elk City with Rev. Frank Postelle pastor, officiating. Interment was in Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Martin-Hullum Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include the parents and a sister, LaDonna Ruth Damron of the home address; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Algin Damron of Elk City; and maternal grandfather, E.J. Griffin of Cheyenne.
