She passed from this life on October 6, 2006 at the Clinton Regional hospital in Clinton, Oklahoma. Dorothey attended school at Telephone, Texas, Rhea, Oklahoma, Center Point, Oklahoma and Leedey, Oklahoma where she graduated with the class of 1950. On October 4, 1950 Dorothey married Gus Ray in Oceola, Oklahoma. To this union four children were born: Mitch, Marty, Charlie and Lila (Muffer). She married Ralph Billings, Sr. on December 7, 1960 in Santa Rosa, California. Three children were born to this union, Vickie, Lorie Ann, and Ralph Billings, Jr. After marriage she took up residence in Leedey, California, Kansas, Elk City, and Putnam, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and gardening. She also greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothey became a member of the Church of Christ when she was thirteen years old. Those preceding Dorothey in death were her parents, Ernest and Beulah Martin; her husbands, Guy Ray and Ralph Billings, two brothers, Edwards and Floyd Martin; two sisters, Pauline Powers and Lucille Horton; one grandson, James Edward Ray; and one granddaughter, Charlene Wynn Ray. She is survived by her four sons: Mitchell Ray of Punam, Martin Ray and wife Annie of St. Joseph, Missouri, Charles Ray, and wife Laura of Foss Lake, Oklahoma, and Ralph Billingsw Jr., of Elk City, by her three daughters, Lila Muffet Woodring and husband Terry of Woodward, Oklahoma, Vickie Billings of Leedey, Oklahoma and Lorie Ann Billings of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; by one brother, Gene Martin and wife Freda of Searcy, Arkansas; by two sisters, Helen Weaver of Elk City, and Alice Ward of Ringling, Oklahoma; and one aunt, Festus Martin of Searcy, Arkansas; by twenty-two grandchildsren, numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 10, 2006 in the Church of Christ, Leedey, Oklahoma with interment following in New Hermon Cemetery.
