Surnames: Cauble, Redwine, West Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/2758 Message Board Post: Jameds Cauble, an old resident of Cheyenne, was instantly killed last Tuesday, while digging a trench for the foundation of the new bridge being built across Sergeant Major Creek two miles southwest of Cheyenne. The report comes that Mr. Cauble, Johnson Redwine and J.H. West were working on the ditch it seems as though they were throwing the mud that was being removed from the ditch on the bank. When the bank caved falling on Cauble while in a stooping position, breaking his neck and death came instantly. Redwine was also caught by the dirt almost covering him entirley up, but was not hurt Mr. Cauble was an old settler in theat community and is well known here. He leaves a widow and three children and hosts of friends to mourn his untimely death. The remains were interred at the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, Wednesday.
