    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: RHOTEN, PUCKETT, COWART, GAILEY, COOK Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/1925.1 Message Board Post: My grandmother was the sister of Conley Talmage RHOTEN's first wife, Mary Lucy PUCKETT. She was actually born in Texas or possibly Louisiana, July 23, 1895. My grandmother, Edna PUCKETT GAILEY recorded information that Lucy and Conley went to Idaho mid-December of 1918 and Lucy died Dec. 29. I have a letter (original) from Lucy and Conley written to her parents, Harvey Vandegar & Alice COOK PUCKETT on December 14, 1918 while they were enroute to Sandpoint. Then, shortly after the 1st of the year, 1919, the PUCKETTs received a letter (I have the original) from their friend, Lucy COWART, telling about Lucy's illness and death, as well as Mrs. COWART's own 3 children. They were all buried in the same lot, each in a white casket, at the same time. I have found their names on USGENWEB Cemetery Transcription: Lakeview Cemetery, Bonner County, Sandpoint, Idaho COWART, Joseph Lloyd, b 12-06-1917 d 12-31-1918 f/s 3 COWART, Martin Carden, b 08-18-1902 d 01-01-1919 f/s 3 COWART, Peter Augustas, b 07-23-1900 d 01-01-1919 f/s 3 RHOTEN, Mrs. C.T., b n/d d 12-30-1918. I would love to share information with anyone researching the PUCKETTs, COWARTs, or RHOTENs. I have a beautiful picture of Lucy and scanned copies of the letters if anyone would like to see them. I'm so glad I have found Conley's obituary on-line as I have often wondered what became of him. Also I've wondered why they decided to move to Idaho, so far away from their families and home.
