Mrs. Davis was born January 25, 1904 at Roll where she had resided all of her life. Interment was made in Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma Sunday. Lorene was born December 7, 1919 in the Rhea Community, southeast of Leedey, to William Henry and Magnolia (Troutman) Robertson. She began her school years at Rhea School and graduated from Leedey High School with the Class of 1938. Lorene was united in marriage on March 18, 1939 to Erwin W. Kauk. They were blessed with the birth of their two sons, Gary and Terry. Lorene and Erwin established their home on a farm southeast of Leedey. She was a loving mother and a hard working helper to Erwin. Lorene liked to spend time reading, crocheting,quilting, and doing needlepoint. She enjoyed cooking for her family and always had a dish ready to take to a church or community function. Her real joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play football, tennis, basketabll or baseball. Lorene was baptized as a young woman and was a faithful member of the Leedey United Methodist Church. Lorene lived on the family farm her entire married life until she was forced to enter the Leedey Nursing Home due to her failing health. She had many good friends there and always enjoyed visiting with them and all those who came by to see her. She always appreciated the kind and good care thee staff provided her. Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin Kauk, her parents, William and Magnolia Robertson; by brothers, Floyd, Adrian, Claude, and Kenny; by brother-in-law, Buddy Kauk; and sisters-in-law, Doris Kauk and Geraldine Robertson. Those remaining to cherish her memory aree sons, Gary Kauk and wife Pat of Liberal, Kansas and Terry Kauk and wife Jana of Leedey, Oklahomaa, by grandchildren, Tony Kauk and wife Rhonda of Yukon, Oklahoma, Brock Kauk and wife Jenny of Elk City, Oklahoma, Dee Dawn Graham and husband David of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Nick Kauk of Edmondd, Oklahoma; by great grandchildren, Tyler, Hayden, Emily, Spencer, Grayson, Savannah, and Elizabeth; by brothers-in-law, Roy Kauk and wife Jessie and Paul Kauk, by sisters-in-law, Ruth Robertson, Audrey Robertson, and Doris Rhoades; by several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 14, 2008 in the United Methodist Church, Leedey, Oklahoma with burial following in New Herman Cemetery. Hamburg is a town that we are fortunate to have a drawing. The late Augusta Metcalfe drew off the town and it is in several publications in our county. She was born March 10, 1955 to Ed and Pauline (Lee) DeVor in Pueblo, Colorado. She grew up in the Penrose, Colorado area attending the Penrose Elementary School and graduated high school from Florence High School. In 1990 Ali married Eddie Reeese at Tulsa, Oklahoma. They made their home in Penrose for a number of years before moving to Leedey, Oklahoma. The union was blessed with the birth of their daughter, Jami. Ali was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crafts, shopping and playing games. She especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends over a cup of coffee. Ali was baptized at a young age and was an active member of the Leedey First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Ed DeVor and by her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her mother, Pauline DeVor of Canon City, Colorado; by daughter, Jami DeBruin and husband John of Sayre, Oklahoma; by sisters, Mary Graham and husband Bob of Penrosse, Margie Wyatt of Castle Rock, Susie Brickman and husband Ronnie of Claude, TX, Peggy Graham and husband Tim of Tipton, IN, and Patti Harger and husband Eric of Leedey, Oklahoma; by brothers, Shorty DeVor and wife Diane of Penrose, CO, and Billy DeVor and wife, Rhonda of Mooreland, OK, by aunt, Sandy Johnson and husband John of Lake Nabergemon, WI; by uncle, Fred Lee aand wife Loura of Leedey, OK; and by man nieces, nephewsd and friends. He passed away February 6, 2008 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 2 days. Carl grew up in the Mayfield community and graduated from Sweetwater High School. In the early 40's he was drafted into the United States Army where he served his country during World War II. He particiated in the liberation of Leyte, Luzon and Mindanao Islands of the Phillipines. After the war ended Carl was sent to Kampo, Korea where he setved as a military governor. Aftr returning from the war, while continuing in service to his country, he married Lovell Hill (Howell) at Wheeler, Texas on August 11, 1946. After their marriage they moved to Ft. Knox, Kentucky and then to Erick, Oklahoma where they owned and operated a gasoline station. They later moved to the family farm in the Mayfield community in 1951 to make their home. While on the farm Carl and Lovelle raised cotton, cattlee and 7 children. In 1981 Carl was elected as Beckham county Commissioner and served as commissioner until December 1990. After retirement Carl and Lovelle enjoyed spending time with th! eir grandchildren, feeding the cattle and other activities on the family farm. Carl was a devoted father, husband and loving grandfather. He was also a member of Sayre Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Glen Hill and Garland Hill, 1 sister Marjorie Hill, 2 infant granddaughters, his wife of 62 years, Lovelle, 1 son, Ivan Hill and 1 daughter, Carolyn Abla. He is survived by his 5 children, Bill Hill and wife, Sherri, Mayfield, Oklahoma, Carlene Hill and husband, Bill Mayfield, Ardmoree, Oklahoma, Kervin Hill and wife Kem, Erick, Oklahoma, Norman Abla and wife, Patty, Mineola, TX and Bobby Abla, Mineola, TX; 1 sister, Alma Jean Ogle, Clear Lake, California; 13 grandchildren, several great grandchilddren and a host of other relatives and friends. In leiu of flower donations can bwe maded to Mayfield Cemetery C/O First American Bank, Box 1228, Erick, Oklahoma 73645. Services were held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sayre Church of Christ officiated by Hilton Merritt and Jim Tom Hill. Burial was at the Mayfield Cemetery under the direction of Rose Cchapel funeraal service.
