Robert Francis Jencks was born in Elk City, Oklahoma on February 25, 1954 to Warren Jencks and Eulalia Cawood and passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 at the age of 54 years. He graduated from Putman City West High School of Oklahoma City in 1972 and then continued his education at Oklahoma State University until 1974. He was employed by Safeway Grocery for ten years. Most of Robert's working career was related to the oil industry. He loved people, the outdoors, and especially hunting and really loved trading guns. He was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents. Robert is survived by his two daughters, Rachel Jencks and Jordan Jencks of Sayre, Oklahoma; his father, Warren Jencks of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, his mother, Eulalia Cawood of Peidmont, Oklahoma; a sister, Dana Bertrem of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a nephew, Russell Bertrem of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Audrey played in nationals for slow-pitch and Regional in fast-pitch, she had also received the nickname of "Mule" in soccer. After high school Audrey worked for Noah's Ark Daycare Center, Homeland and the Country Club before she went to work for the Longhorn Bar. While at the Longhorn she was a bartender and a bouncer. Audrey was very family oriented and she was especially close to her nephew, Logan. She enjoyed fishing and hanging out with friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Bobby Jack Hindman and Espidion Trevino. She is survived by her mother Anne Trevino of the home, one brother, Damon "Moe" Trevino and son, Logan, both of Elk City; grandparents, Bill and Marge Coday, Elk City and Jane Hindman, Durham, Oklahomas; 6 uncles, Bobby Hindman, Jackie Hindman and wifed Brenda, Mark Hindman, Pete Trevino and wife Francis and Henry Trevino; aunts, Gina Cheaney and Novelle Lesly, fiance Juan Rodriguez and a host of other friends and relatives. Services were held Friday, December 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elk City First Baptist Church officiated by Andy Taylor. Burial followed at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service. Clois Edward Richardson was born November 26, 1931, at Wheeler County to Everett J. and Clara Belle (Smith) Richardson and passed away Friday Friday, November 28, 2008, at the age of 77. He was raised in the Wheeler-Shamrock area. Mr. Richardson worked as a pipe liner for McGinnis and Crawford until his health forced him to retire in 1986. He was married to Rita Gollihare on April 29, 1992. They moved to the Berlin area in the early 1990's where they lived since. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers. Survivors include his children, Janice Moss and her husband, Kenneth of Perryton, Gary Richardson and his wife, Tony of Perryton, Bob Richardson and his wife, Beverly of Albuquerque, Don Richarson and his wife, Dianna of New Braunfels, Texas, James Richardson of Clinton, Mike Richardson and his wifed, Rena Gay of Perryton, Scott Gollihare and his wife, Anglie of Georgetown, Texas, Karen Jackson and her husband, Bob of Hollis, Ricky Gollihare and his wife, Angela of Orange, Texas; 28 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one sister, Beulah Amrine of Dumas, Texas. She was the oldest of 8 children of R.R. and Hattie Grayson. She passed away November 30, 2008 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 97 years, 10 months and 2 days. Gladys moved with her family to Beckham County in January of 1928. From Beckham County the family moved on the farm near Reydon, Roger Mills County then in 1938 moved on across the line to Allison, Texas in Wheeler County, on December 24, 1938 she married Doyt Binson of Reydon, Oklahoma with a few months the couple loaded all their belongings in a Model A car and joined the migration to California where they resided until her husband entered the Army Air Corps in 1943. When her husband was discharged from service they resided in Chandler, Arizona until Doyt's death in 1973. Gladys worked in the Chandler-Mesa area for many years. In 1983 she married Jim Hastie and upon retirement she and Jim moved to Sayre, Oklahoma in 1993 to be near Gladys' family in their remaining years. Jim passed away in 1997. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Cecil, Ode, Erskin and Lewis Grayson. She is survived by her step-daughter, Betty Castenada and husband, Mario, Los Angeles, C; 1 sister, Margilu Reynolds, Sayre, OK; 2 brothers, David Grayson and wife, Margie, Sayre, OK and BJ Grayson and wife, Jonell, Sayre, OK; 1 sister-in-law, Rita Grayson, Allison, TX several caring nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She passed away November 28, 2008 at Liberal, Kansas, at the age of 80 years, 6 months and 10 days. She was married to J.R. Allen at Wheeler, Texas on December 29, 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1983. She is also preceded by her parents, a daughte, Lovina Gail, and grandson, Ryan Gaskill. Louise leaves wonderful memories with her daughters, Christina Wells and husband, Greg, Janicew Gaskill and husband, Mike, all of Liberal, Kanssas, June Hartley and husband, Charlie of Durham, Oklahoma; her son Larry Allen and wife Dena of Liberal, Kansas; 9 grandchildren, Kevin, Timmy and Traci Hartley, Terry Conn, Kristi Brazel, Rusty Allen, Jason Ott, Cheri Bevis and Ryan Gaskill; 20 great grandchildren;; 3 sissters, Lola Smart and Wanda Doddd, both of Sayre, Oklahoma and Mary Bridge of Franklinton, NC and a host of other relatives and friends. Louise dedicated her life to family, milking cows and raising turkeys in Roger Mills County, Oklahom,a. On February 11, 1962 she and J.R. were baptized and became members of the Reydon First Baptist Churcfh. In 1963, they moved to a ranch north of Chadron, Nebraska and later traded the ranch for a place in Williamsburg, MO. In 1967 they wintered their herd on the Texas-Oklahoma line and rented wheatfields and in the spring they movefd to Moscow, Kansas. They remained there 6 years before moving to the Sand Hills near Ross, Nebraska. After J.R. passed away, she moved to Durham for two years and helped June and the grandkids, before returning to Moscow and helped her daughter, Janice, with harvest time. She enjoyed her home there and helping with her grandchildren, who also spent their summers with her in Nebraska and they can all tell of some very interesting experiences that happened on the ranch. She resided in Liberal for two years before moving to Wheatridge Care! Center in April of 2008. Louise enjoyed attending the Moscow Baptist Church, working in her yard and garden. The family request memborial donations be made to the Silent Home Cemetery or the Moscow Senior Center. A celebration of her life was held December 1, 2008 p.m. at Reydon First Baptist Church officiatedd by Dr. Alberta Helton and Bro. Ray Smart. Burial followed at Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne. Arlene attended school in Cheyenne and Souhwestern State College in Weatherford. She was married to Charles Edward O'Neil on March 25, 1934, and they lived in the Redmoon Community for a few years. In February of 1940, Ed and Arlene moved to a farm southeast of Cheyenne where they lived for the rest of their lives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1985; two brothers, Marshall Foch Hills in 1921 and Walden Elvert "Bud" Hills in 1970 and a son-in-law, Larry Hooper in 2008. Survivors include three children, Lana Beth Boyd and her husband Richard of Norman, Charles Ray O'Neil and his wife Barbara of Cheyenne and Mary Margaret Hooper of Oklahoma City; a sister Elverta Burns and her husband Bob of Kingston, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Frank grew up in San Antonio and lived in south Texas before moving to Elk City in the early 1990s. He met Jodie Michelle Ackley and they were married in Victoria, Texas on February 1, 2002. They lived in Victoria and moved to Sayre in November of 2002 to make their home. Frank had worked in construction doing structural metal work on large projects that included the Towers of America. He was a member of the Trinity Fellowship. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister. Snell. He passed away November 14, 2008 at Amarillo, Texas at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 29 days. Ben started school at Liberty Center and moved with his parents to Towner, Colorado. In 1945 they moved to Reydon, Oklahoma where he attended school. After school he moved to Colorado to work on a farm and help with the elevator. He entered the United States Marine Corps and served his country until his discharge in 1958. He said serving in the Marine Corps was one of his proudest moments. On January 17, 1959 he married Mary Lee Herring at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After his discharge he operated a custom combining business with his dad and brother, Jim and later ran the North Station Elevator south of Wildorado, Texas. In 1974 he began farming in the Wildorado area for the next 5 years. He later moved to Cheyenne and ran Joe's Cement Plant until 1982. He was married to Luane Sue (Stroup) at Wheeler, Texas on March 2, 2000 and they continued to live in Cheyenne to make their home. He was preceded in death by his father, and an infant son, Mark Anthony Snell. He passed away October 14, 2008 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, 10 months aand 24 days. Leon grew up in western Oklahoma working on his grandparents and parents farms. He also did some ranch work or whatever was necessary to help his parents provide for their family. He later worked on road construction and helped build bridges around western Oklahoma. He waS married to Betty Lee Maddox on March 2, 1960. He attended county schools in Ellis county only going to the 4th grade. He was a self taught artist, sketching sincce he was a child. He will be remembered as an "author of stories on canvas". His paintings and sketches represented his grandparents farm, wildlife, ranch, and western scenes. He competed in many western Oklahoma art festivals from 1975 to September of 2008 and won many awards. He also enjoyed having a vegetable garden every year! , telling stories of family history, taking care of his pet chickeens, and just being around his grandchildren. He will be forever misssed by his childdren, grandchildren and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Mary worked for Anchor Meat Co. of Medesto for 19 years. She also worked at Tri-Valley of Modesto, and Diamond Walnut of Modesto, she was a member of the Church of Christ in Modesto. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a very compassionate and loving person. She lived her life very content, and she felt very blessed to have her children nearby. Frank Walton Hubbard was born October 10, 1922 near Strong City, Oklahoma to John R. and Ethel C. Bassert Hubbard and passed away Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the age of 86. He attended 5 Star and Crawford School before he entered the U.S. Army. Frank served with the 10th Armored Division of Patton's 3rd Army at the Battle of the Bulge and the European Theatre. After his discharge, he was married to Zella Mae Swope on March 25, 1946 at Sayre, Oklahoma. They established their home near Roll, Oklahoma where he farmed before starting a career as a barber in 1950. He owned and operated the Elk Barber Shop in Elk City until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of the DAV, American Legion and Masonic Lodge #182. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1994, his parents, 10 brothers and sisters and a grandson. Survivors include 3 children, Harlan Hubbard and his wife, Nan of Elk City, Prescilla Blair and her husband Greg of Edmond, Oklahoma and Taryn Cordell and her husband Jack of Woodward, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a brother J.E. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 64 years, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), GFWC, Arimanthia, Red Hatter and also a long time teacher of the LaDonna Sunday school class at the Hammon First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 sister, Opal Clare. She is survived by her son, Danny Wayne Hines and wife, Wanell, Hammon, Oklahomsa; grandson Steven Don Hines and wife, Mindy, Blanchard, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Stefanie Dawn Shields and husband, Rusty, Sentinel, Oklahoma; 4 great gandchildren, Hunter Hines, Blanchard, Elizabeth Hines, Blanchard, Oklahoma, Reed Shields, Sentinel, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Rosa Bea Johnson, Elk City, Oklahoma and Artilena Mooney, Cortez, Colorado; and a hosty of other relatives and friends. He passed away November 10, 2008 at Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 20 days. Robert moved with his parents to Cheyenne, Oklahoma in 1948 and graduated from Cheyenne High School. He entered the United States Marine Corps in January of 1954 and served his country during the Koreean Conflict. He was married to Charlotte Tice in May of 1954. After his discharge he began working for the Thurmond Ranch. He later began working for the United States Conservation District in Roger Mills County as a surveyor. They later moved to Mangum, Oklahoma where he continued with the Farmers Home Administration until his retirement. He returned to Cheyenne and lived there until 2004 when he moved to Reydon to be close to his children. He was a member of the Reydon Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Robert Eugene Barton, II, and 1 infant ddaughter, Eugenia Renee Barton. Services will be heldd Thursday November 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Cheyenne First Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Alberta Helton.
