Dunlap, 68, of Rocky, Oklahoma, are scheduled at 2 p.m. today in the Berlin Cemetery south of Cheyenne. Dunlap died Saturday, February 14, 2009, at his home. He was born Septemberf 24, 1940, at Berlin, the son of Jesse and Elizabeth (Young) Dunlap. He graduated from Berlin High School. On December 16, 1963, he married Mae S. Sizemore at Cheyenne. Dunlap was employed by Washita County District No. 2 and was an avid horseman, rodeoing, roping and racing horses. He was a member of the Salem Baptist Church at Rocky. Survivors include his wife, Mae, of the home; one son, Shawn Dunlap, and his wife, Christina, of Elk City, two grandchildren, Skyla and Cody Dunlap, both of Elk City; one brother Marvin Dunlap of Wichita, Kansas; and five sisters, Mildred Crayton, and her husband, Dub, of Clinton, Dorothy McLean, and husband Jack, of Chandler, Lorain Dunlap, Mangum, George Adams, Oklahoma City, and Janet Phillips, and husband T.L., Clinton. Along with his parents, Dunlap was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. Herman Foust will officiate at the services. Arrangements are under direction of the Loftiss-Lee Funeral Home of Cordell. Woody was born on January 24, 1917, in Durham, Oklahoma to William Burley Cecil and Lucille Wylie Cecil. Woody graduated from Durham High School in 1935. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1938. During his 20 years in the Navy, he served on: USS Lexington (CV-2), USS Neville (APA-9), USS Alchiba (AK-23/AKA-6) ABCD-2 (Auxiliary Floating Dry Dock), USS Valve (ARS-28), USS Badoeng Strait (CVE-116). In Novembr 1942 while aboard the USS Alchiba, the ship was hit and damaged by Japanese torpedoes in Guadalcanal. In addition to his sea dity thour. Woody was a Navy recruiter at Lexington, KY. After transferring to the CB's (Navy Construction Battalion), he served in the 103rd Mobile Construction Battalion on Guam, as the Maintenance Officer at the Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina, and as the Field Superindent for the construction of 1,700 replacement housing units on Guam. Woody's final naval tour was as Maintenance Officer at the US Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island, Washington. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1958 as a Chief Warrant Officer, CWO-2,CEC. After retiring from the Navy, Woody partnered with George Dickson to build the first drive-in theater on Whidbey Island, The Blue Fox. Woody and Charlie ran the theater for more than 20 years. Woody has been a Master Mason since 1964. He was a member of Whidbey Island Number 15, A.F.&A.M. Woody was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlotte, his parents, two sisters, four brothers, three nieces and a nephew. He is survived by two nephews, seven nieces, and Charlotte's three grandchildren. No services are planned. After cremation, a burial at sea is planned. Rheuben whitfieldd Green was born to Robert Whitfield and Birdie Dee (Clark) Green in between Sayre and Cheyenne in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, on Maarch 13, 1917 and departed this life in Rush Springs on Januaary 15, 2009 at the age of 91 years, 10 months and two days. Rheubedn grew up in western Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1942. He married Thelma Brown on February 22, 1942 in Norman. They served as foreign missionaries for International Crusades in South America for several years, he preached in most ofd the South America countries in both Spanish and Portugese, including a Lepor Colony in Brazil. He taught music at Temple High school in Temple, until he retired at the age of 72. He spent 56 years as a minister and retired from that at the age of 81. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sterling. He enjoyed playing and teaching music, studying languages to includ Spanish, Portuguese and German, and also enjoyed gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Roy and Don; and four sisters, Geneva, Margie, Rheba and Leta Faye. Survivors include his wife Thelma Green of the home; a son, Rheuben Green and his wife Myong of Rush Springs; a daughter, Annette Henager of Rush Ssprings; a brother, Raymond Green of Haywood, California; a sister, Cuba Jean Coats of Seminole; five grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. L.D. was born October 225, 1926 to Chris and Lena (Tost) Kauk at Butler, Oklahoma. He attended Leedey High School graduating with the Class of 1945. In 1950 L.D. joined the United States Army serving in the 838th Army Engineers Corp. He achieved the rank of Corporal and was honorably discharged in 1956. L.D. was united in marriage to Miss Noreta Ann Burns on September 1, 1951 in Orlando, Florida. L.D. and Ann were the proud parents of four children; Charla, Cheryl, John and Paul. L.D.'s work with Shell Oil Company took the family to Denver, Texas, MccCarnrey, Texas, Jal, New Mexico and finally to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. L.D. was employed by Sherll Oil Company as a Production Supervisor for forty years and retired with them in 1986. His special interests were golfing, reading a good book, and traveling to see family, or have family visit them. L.D. was an avid golfer and at the age of 79 he shot a 79 on the course. He also accomplished the rare feat of a "hole-in-one" during his 70's. Loved ones precedding L.D. in death and his parents, Chris and Lena Kauk, sister, Vera Riedl; brothers, Albert, Eemil, Barney and Lee Kauk. Only World War II separated them, but they were married November 18, 1945 in Dumas, Texas. They have been soul-mates and life partners for sixty-three years of marriage and loving parents for sixty-two. Stella Jean and Daniel William moved to California, then back to Texas and Oklahoma Panhandle, residing in several towns and cities with plans to settle down in Dumas, Texas. While in Dumas, she became a working mother, providing for her family while her husband attended educational classes. In 1958 Stella Jean, with her family, left Texas for what turned out to be her home, New Mexico. She and her husband are long time New Mexico residents, having initially located in Grants, NM. Stella Jean is survived by her husband, Daniel William; her daughter, Carol Lynn and husband, Robert; her sons, Danny and wife Bonnie and Reginald Eugene and five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were held December 29, 2008 at the Manzano Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico with interment at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Jarnagin was born December 6, 1917, in Sweetwater to Dora and Marion Francis Jarnagin. He passed away January 30, 2009 in Sayre at the age of 91 years, 1 month and 24 days. Melvin grew up in the Sweetwater community where he attended school. After school he farmed and went to barber school in 1933. He began cutting hair in Reydon and Sweetwater before there was electricity. He married Margaret Gwendine Sites in 1938. He entered the United States Army and served his country during World War II in the European Theatre. He was married to Dorothy Jean (Tinsley) Atchley at Houston, Texas on May 3, 1972, and they made their home west of Sayre. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, 1 daughter, Millicent Faye Marshall, 5 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his Wife, Dorothy, of the home; two Sons, Larry Jarnagian and wife, Linda, Elk City; and Marion Jarnagin and wife, Pat, Midway, KY; one step daughter, Gayla Morsman, Edmond; two stepsons, Larry Atchley and wife, Sherry, Wilson, Oklahoma; and Roger Atchley and wife, Doris, Oklahoma City; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held Wednesday, February 4, 200 at 2 p.m. at Sweetwater First Baptist Church officiated by Charlie Floyd.
