Reser who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L.W. Pate, 601 N. Hgh Street, in Neosho, Mo, on the 22nd day of Decembr, 1925 at 6:30 P.M. Mrs. Reser had been in poor health for many years and had been confined to her bed for the past four years. She was at her daughter's home just three months to a day when the end came. She was 87 years, 2 months and 12 days old. She leaves to mourn her departhure her husband, J.W. Reser and six children, three sons and three daughters, Mrs. L.W. Pate of Neosho, Mo., A.B. Reser of Oclogah, Okla., Mrs.S.H. Rimbey of Cheyenne, Okla., W.J. Reser of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. W.W. Smith of Turley, Okla.; and J.J. Reser of Neosho, Mo. She united with the Methodist Church in 1858 and lived a good Christian mother in the church until 1898 when she united with the Latter Day Saint and has always lived a devoted Christian. Her life was devoted to her family and home. It is lonely here dear Mother, while the dark clouds are passing by, but the joy we shall have when when we meet you by and by. (Moore) Green and departed her body on April 27, 2009 at Sayre Oklahoma at almost 43 years old. Melinda spent the first three years of her life in Colorado Springs where her Air Force Dad was stationed. She had an older sister and borther, and later a younger brother was adopted into the family. In 1969, when she was three, she lived with her family in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, while her dad was in the Artic. After a year, the family moved to Biloxi, Mississippi, where Melinda completed kindergarten through second grade. During this time she accepted Christ as her personal Savior. Being an "Air Force Brat", she attended various schools in different states where she excelled academically and was involved in many school activities. She completed the 3rd grade in Bryan, Texas, 4th through 7th in Yucaipa, California, and 8th through 12h in Blanchard, Oklahoma where she grad! uated in 1984. Her interest were Band, Cheerleading, Drama, Choir, and Basketball. She played both clarinet and flute in the band, but her favorite school activity was cheerleading. She was also very active in her Church. Melinda attended college and graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, Oklahoma in 1993 with a degree in Businesse Management. Melinda has worked management jobs in Oklahoma City, Cheyenne, and Sayre. In 1999, she moved to Sayre, Oklahoma and began work at Northfork Correctional Facility as a Corrections Officer and then was moved to the business office in date Processing. She became disabled in 2004 due to chronic pancreratitis and severe brittle diabetes. Her health continually deterirated until she went to be with her Lord on Aprii 27, 2009. She was preceded in death by all of her grandparents, especially her favorite, Grandma Moore, and one nephew, Roderick Land. She is survived by her parents, Glenn and Wanda Green of Cheyenne, one sister, Nila Land and husband Robert of Cheyenne, two brothers, Travis Green and wife Andrea, of Round Rock, Texas and Randy Green of Coyle, Oklahoma, five nieces: Mary, Hannah, and Gracen Green of Round Rock, Texas and Kelsi and Whitley Land of Cheyenne, two nephews: Joshua and Michael Land of Cheyenne, and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services were held Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Cheyenne First Baptist Churcfh officiated by Rev. Jeff Hurlbut, with a private interment in the Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. He passed away May 2, 2009 at Amarillo, Texas at the age of 56 years 2 months and 7 days. Neal grew up in the small town of Roll, Oklahoma and attended school at Crawford, Oklahoma. He later made his home in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Neal volunteered at th Clothes Closet and worked at Hanawaalt Variety Store where he was in charge of hardware. He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, bowling and playing solitaire. The highlight of his day was going to the Senior Citizen Center and visiting with friends. Neal helped his mother around the house, ran errands and did yard work. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Kennerh Kendall, 2 sisters, Carla (Kendall) Compton, Judy (Kendall) Smith and step father Bill Hanawalt. Survived by his mother, Betty Hanawalt, 3 sisters, Ginger Pope and husband, Rodney, Sayre, Oklahoma, Jalene Parkhurst and husband, Austin, Mannford, Oklahoma, Kimberly Rogers and husband, Clay, Nevada, MO; 1 brother, Roger Kendall and wife, Judith, Melbourne, Australia aand several nephews, and niece and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Cheyenne United Methodist Church officiated by Dr. Billy Wheeler and Rev. Greg Keith. He was born in Durham, Oklahoma on January 4, 1928 to Robert Lewis Goodwin and Obera (Hatley) Goodwin. Dan spent many happy years growin up in Durham until he joined the U.S. Navy on his 18th birthday. After an Honorable Discharge on December 19, 1949, he attended Panhandle State University. After earning his bachelor's degree within three years, he applied and was admitted into Oklahomaa A & M Collegee Veterninary program. Dan served as Vice-President of the Studeny Council and was elected "Campus Male Favorite" during his junior year. Dan married Ottie Alexander in 1956. They later divorced. After graduaation, Dan bought the practice of Dr. Frank Hesterr in Chelsea, Oklahoma. He practicefd in Chelsea until Senaor Robert S. Kerr of Kermac Ranch in Poteau, Oklahoma asked Dan to be their Ranch Veterinanian. Senatorf Kerr was eager to improve his Aberdeen Angus cattler and asked Dan to oversee the health and breeding program of the herd. After the death of Senator Kerr in 1963 the ranch was converted to a foundation. During that time, Dan met Dr. W.I. "Dub" Berry, operations manager of Winrock Farms. Dub invited him to visit Winrock Farms at Petit Jean Moutains near Morrilton, Arkansas. It was then that Governor Rockefeller hired Dan to grow and improve his Santa Gertrudis Cattle. in 1968, Dan returned to Oklahoma State University to work on his Ph.D. in Animal Reproductive Physiology. Dr. Goodwin received his Ph.D. in 1972. He was appointed to be Director of the Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory in Oklahoma State Uiversity. He was an integral part of the new laboratory building that was funded by the Oklahoma Legislature. Dan served as Director until he retired in 1991. After retirement, Dan was committeed to giving back to the community for which he loved. He spent conuntless hours volunteering in Stillwater. He built homes for Habitat for Humanity and was an active member of the Stillwater Rotary Club. Dan and Nancy (Walker) Goodwin married in 1995. Dan had a great love of cattle, the fresh Oklahoma air and Lucchese boots. Dan also enjoyedd wine making, cooking, bee keeeping, carpentry, sketching, and traveling. Along with his wife, he travelefd to every state and almost every countinent. He made friends along the way and some of them even made it to Stillwater for a visit. Most of all, Dan enjoyed reminiscing about his life in Durham and the many cows he met along the way. Dan was truly an inspiration to all those who knew him. He will be dearly missed, but he will always be remembered as the sweet and gentle boy from Durham, Oklahoma. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert and John. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his brother Thomas Goodwin and his wife, Frankie Mae of Durham; two sons, Dan Luke Goodwin of Tulsa asnd John Bnjamin Goodwin and his wife Leah of Athens, G and two dauhghters, Suzanne Goodwin and her partner Eileeen Keneally of Arilington, MA, and Rebecca Rohlfing and her husband Richard of Stillwater. He is further survivedd by Kevin F. Wlker of Santa Fe, John R. Walker and his wife Meliezza, of Sugar Land, and Christopher J. Walker of Washington, D.C. and his wife Jean Im, as well as his grandchildren: Bailey Rohlfing, Kaitlin Goodwin, Jack Rohlfing, Emily Rose Goodwin, Liam Walker, Amelia Goodwin, Benjamin Walker, Kate Walker, Henry Rohlfing, and Able Goodwin, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church on Saturday May 2, at 11:00. in lieu of flowers, pleasre send donations to the Judith Karman Hospice or to St. Andrews Episcopal Church. He was married to Lawanda (Drew) Thetford at Sayre, Oklahoma on January 21, 1955. After their marriage they resided east of Berlin until Joice was drafted into the United States Army. Joice served his country in the Korean conflict. After his discharge in 1958 he returned and started his soil conservation bussinesss and continued to opeerate the business until present. Joice enjoyed working and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife, Lawanda, of the home; 1 son, Terry Thetford, Elk City, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Truman Thetford, Sayre, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. She passed away April 24, 2009 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years, 1 month and 10 days. Marguerite lived with her parents on the Trammell Ranch until she started school. She then lived with her grandmother, Ann Trammell, in Reydon, and attended school at Rankin and then Reydon, graduating Valedictorian in 1934. Marguerited married James G. "Buck" Spurlinon February 27, 1935 in Reydon where they remained until 1937 when they moved to Harley, New Mexico. They returned to Reydon in 1943 before moving to Victorville, California in 1956 to make their home. Marguerite worked at the Victor Bowl bowling alley where she had fond memoiries of bowling with Roy Rogers and Bob Hope. Shortly after Buck's death, Marguerite returned to live at the Elkwood Assisted Living Center in Elk City until her death. Marguerite was a member of the United Methodist Church of Reydon. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Frances Chandler, and her brother, Frank "Jack" Trammell. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Patty Driver & husband, Jack, Elk City, Oklahoma, Beverley Tunison, Panaama City, FL; 1 son, Jim Spurlin, Santa Clarita, CA; 1 sister, Mary Peo & husband, Ernie, Lincoln, NE; 9 grandchildren, 1 step grandson, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He graduated from Sweetwater High School. Lee farmed and ranched on the family farm and has lived in the Erick-Sweetwater area most all of his life. Mahala Emeline Culp was born in southern Indiansa, June 27, 1842 and died near Grimes, Oklahoma May 7, 1909, aged 55 years, 10 months and 13 days. Her maiden name was Barnes. She was married August 19, 1861 to David V. Culp at Geensburg, Indiana. He died near Bethany, MO, February 1904. Nine children were born to this couple; two dying when young. Those surviving are: Lucius of Trenton, Missouri; Frank at Cabool, Missouri; Willis at Clarinda, Iowa and Mrs. Louise Wasson Borden, Mrs. Sophonia Spence, Everett and Orley, all of Grimes, Oklahoma. The deceased moved to Harrison County, Missouri in the fall of 1876 and came to Roger Mills County in 1905. When about twenty years of age she was converted and joined the Baptist Church remaining a faithful member of same the rest of her life. She was a consecrated Christian. Mrs. Culp was stricken with apoplexy on the morning of the 7th of May and at no time regained consciousness, passing sweetly away a few hours afterwards. The funeral services were held at eleven o'clock on May 8th, at the home of her son Everett. A large crowd was present to show their respect and loved for one who had endeared herself to all. Rev. French Lancaster of Grimes, had charge of the funeral service, taking for his text 1 Corinthians 15:53. The remains were laid to rest in Rosehill Cemetery---Mrs. Alice Blackburn. He was married to Lori Dian Womack at Elk City on April 13, 2007. They moved to Tulsa in February of 2009, where Randy continued his education at the Tulsa Welding School. He was a member of the Second and Adams church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather and one cousin. He is survived by his wife, Lori of the home; his parents, Mike and Becky McLeod of Elk City; two sisters, Megan Brown of Elk City and Darcy Kuczajda and husband, Trevor of Cordell; paternal grandmother, Arlened McLeod of Lake Jackson, Texas; two nieces, Hallie Brown and Kirsten Bennett, two nephews, Chrisitian McLeod and Allen Brown, and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held Wednesdaay, April 15, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Second and Adams church of Christ officiated by Tom Harguesss, Pat Peters, and Jerry Martman. Nursing Center in Clinton, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Cleda L. Tucke, one son Charles Tucker and his wife, Donna of Whitesboro, Texas; two daughters, Janith Moore and her husband, Peter of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and Pamela Nelson and her husband, Duane of Kanack, Texas; two grandsons, five granddaughters and ten great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held and his final resting place will be in Texas. Ray Brickman was born January 7, 1923 in Homestead, Oklahoma to Mose and Mary Brickman. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Homestead High School in 1941. He was an outstanding athlete during his school days at Homestead. He also lived and farmed for several years in Manter, Kansas. He moved to Leedey, Oklahoma in 1985 and lived there for 18 years whern he moved to Claude, Texas to be near his family. Ray was known for his kindness and generosity and he was always helping others mow their yards and plow their gardens. He enjoyed gardening and growing fresh produce, especially cantaloupes, and he loved to play dominoes with his friendss. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gerald Brickman and Harry Brickman. He is survived by two sons; Troy Brickman and wife Lynda of Colorado Springs and Ronnie Brickman and wife Susan of Claude, five grandchildren; Jay Brickman of Colorado Springs, Trent Brickman of Canyon, Aslyson Brickman of Denver, Colorado, Katie Sims and husband Klay of Happy and Kyla Brickman of Amarillo, one great grandson; Colin Brickman of Springfield, Coloradso and many other loving family members. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Leedey, Oklahoma with Jess Little officiating. Graveside service were held at Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene, Oklahoma. Arrangements are with Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Dr. Memorial may be made to BSA Hospice, Texas Nursing and Rehabilitaion or Hudson House Assisted Living in Claude. Dollar, 76, of Ruidoso passed away March 25, 2009 in Ruidoso. She was born May 10, 1932 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Lee and Ida McDaniel who both preceded her in death. Mrs. Dollar attended public school in Durham, Oklahoma graduating from Durham High School. She attended college at Sayre and Weatherford, Oklahoma, Canyon and Commerce, Texas. She taught elementary education in Briscoe, Allison, and Bledsoe, Texas. She loved to teach reading and lovedd it wehen her kids "got it"! Mrs. Dollar was a member of Cree Meadows Country Club and attended Community United Methodist. She married Everett Dollar on May 28, 1952 and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2005. She was preceded in death by two sons, Douglas Dollar in December, 1979 and Steven Dollar in May, 1983. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack McDaniel and Bobby McDaniel and a sister Dovie Felder. She is survived by a brother, Leonard McDaniel and his wife Margie of Durham, Oklahoma, sisters-in-law, Kate McDaniel of Crawford, Oklahoma, June Hogg of Granite, Oklahoma, and Betty Ellis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a brother-in-law, J.B. McAlexander of Willow, Oklahoma and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with interment at the Zyback Cemetery, Allison, Texas. The family has requested memorials to alzheimers research or a charity of your choice. She passed away April 7, 2009 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years and 19 days. Billie grew up in Roger Mills County near Crawford and attended school there. She married Jack Vernon Davis July 20, 1944 at Sayre, Oklahoma. Jack and Billie Rae owned and operated Davis Food Store in Cheyenne for several years. They then moved to Cordell where Jack passed away in 1997. Billie then moved to Oklahoma City to be near her children. Billie Rae was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her 3 sons, Gary Lynn Davis of Denver, Colorado, Vernon Ray Davis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Kerry Dwane Davis of Tuttle, Oklahoma, several grandchildren, 2 brothers Donald F. Cannon of Cordell and Eddie Carroll Cannon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and a host of relatives and friends. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Cheyenne. Tiffany was born July 11, 1972 in Amarillo, Texas. Her parents are John Darby Laird and Cheryl Elizabeth (Dickey) McMinn. She was raised in Amarillo, Texas and Happy, Texas, attending Happy Elementary School and Canyon High School. She continued her education at Exposito School of Hair Design and Paris Jr. College. Tiffany married William Hershall Matthews Jr. on June 4, 1994, in Amarillo, Texas. This union was blessed with one daughter Brittni Kanae Laird Matthews. The family lived in Amarillo, Texas, Paris, Texas, Leedey, Oklahoma and Camargo, Oklahoma. Tiffany was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. She enjoyed working with Bar B Boer Goats, helping with any project in the community and working with children. She was a member of the Global Friends, ABGA, Women's Club of Camargo, was on the Camargo Town Board, a new member of the Vici Ag Boosters and a member of the OMGA. Tiffany was baptized at 32 years of age. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leedey where she enjoyed working with Children's Church and the Youth Group. Tiffany was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ronald Earl Dickey, and John Laird and Mother-in-law, Cherrie Lynn Matthews. She is survived by her husband Billy Matthews of Camargo, Oklahoma; daughter Brittni Laird Matthews of Camargo, Oklahoma; mother Cheryl McMinn and husband Bill of Amarillo, Texas; father Darby Laird and wife Brenda of Amarillo, Texas; sister Jessia Laird of Waco, Texas; brother Jason Laird and wife Jamie of Amarillo, Texas; grandmother Waunita Dickey of Alba, Texas; grandmother Joan Laird of Madill, Oklahoma; 4 aunts, 4 uncles, other family and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Friday, April 3, 2009 in the Leedey High School Auditorium, Leedey, Oklahoma with burial following in Camargo Cemetery.
