Married to James Lee Pebsworth in the Chickasaw Nation in 1905 at the age of 18. Gave birth to a son in "Ada", May 1908, possibly as a "single" parent. Could have lived with a family member name Reeder or friend. Annie would have been 21 at the time of the birth, she was born in 1887. Have heard she could have been of Cherokee decent. Also could have used the name of Radker. Any information will be appreciated.

My great grandparents, Martin W. Saling and Lulea Ellen Caswell and 7 of their children were living in Bar X Twp 03 May 1910. I believe my grandmother, Nellie Florence Saling was also born here on 05 Nov 1910. Martin's brother, Andrew J. Saling and his wife Darthenia and their 8 children were also in Bar X Twp at this same time. In Dewey Twp, Martin's older brother, James D. Saling and his wife Sarah, their 3 children, and Martin's father, James L. Saling, were living in 1910. Another brother, Reuben A. Saling, his wife, Mattie L., their daughter and his three step children were living in Dewey Twp. What records would be available for Bar X and Dewey Twps for this time period - such as birth, death, land, tax, genealogical journals, church, newspapers. My g-g grandfather, James L. Saling, was said to be a circuit riding preacher. I am hoping that the presence of 32 members of the Saling family in this area of Roger Mills County in 1910 would leave some records for me to search out. Can anyone help? The Oklahoma Archives is in need of people to fill the position of archivists for several counties, and for parts of the Indian Nations/Territories. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/okfiles.htm Why do the archives exist? The archives fill a roll in the preservation of genealogical information on the web in that all archives submissions are permanent, the information will not leave or otherwise be removed irregardless of who the archivist may be at the time. In some cases, the information in the archives will be a duplicate of what is on a county site, and in other cases, it will be information not on a county site but that can be linked to it. Why duplicate? First, the majority of information in the archives is in text format. This has stood the test of time in that it can be read no matter what system or browser is being used, and will be there no matter what advances take place in the future. Second, so far the text format has proven to be unaffected by virus’s that love to work on html formats. If you are interested in becoming an archivist for the Oklahoma Archives please e-mail bchada@tanet.net Bob Chada or tchada@mmcable.com Tammie Chada. If you are interested in becoming an archivist for the Indian Nation/Territories division of the Oklahoma Archives, please contact greyoaks@brightok.net Linda Simpson Also, if there is a particular county or area that you would like to work in but see that it is already taken, we will place you on a future contact list.
