Burial Red Star cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Emma Currier was born October 31, 1895, and was married June 30, 1919 in Eastland, Texas to O.H. Currier. They came to Roger Mills County in 1921 and resided in the Strong City community since. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mrs. John W. Patterson and Mrs. Earnestine Potter, both of Elk City; and Mrs. Ruby Dye of San Jose, California; a son, Earnest Currier of Strong City, and other relatives. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK

C.E. Ditterline, pastor of the church and Wayne Nation, Church of Christ minister, were in charge of the services. Committal was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne. Ethel Frances Cronin, daughter of Anna Ethel and W.A. Cronin, was born January 16, 1911 in the Sqauare Top community near Cheyenne, Oklahoma. She was saved and united with the Methodist Church at the agoe of 8 years. Ethel attended school at Square Top, Cheyenne and Gotebo, graduating from the Gotebo high school in 1930. After this she returned with her family to their farm home in the Square Top community where they lived until moving in 1944 to the present home in Cheyenne. Ethel was an active member of her Church especially in the Woman's Socity of Christian Service and Children;s Department. Her constant faith in God has been an inspiration to her loved onces and friends. She departed this life March 16, 1953 after an illness of eight months. Those of her family who live to remember her with love are her father W.A. Cronin and sister, Doris Helen Cronin of the home; brother, Leonard W. Cronin; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Cronin, and niece, Elizabeth Anne Cronin of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok

Crane was born July 7, 1877 in Tarrant County, Texas and departed this life on May 2, 1954 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. In 1898 he was united in marriage to Lillian Edwina Johnson. In 1905 they came to Oklahoma and estaablished a home near old Rankin in Roger Mills County. In 1912 the family moved to Hammon where he lived until Mrs. Crane's death in 1930. He has made Cheyenne his home since 1931 when he became County Judge. In 1938 he was married to Willie T. Cooper of Cheyenne. Judge Crane is survived by his wife of Cheyenne, a son, Glen F. Crane, also of Cheyenne, three daughters who are Evangel Morrow of Hammon, Oklahoma, Voncile Rivers and Cleta Trent, both of Del City, Oklahoma, a step-son, Trammell Bowman of Santa Fe, New Mexico; a brother, Walter Crane of Elk City, a sister, Mrs. Mollie Middleton of Oregon, 12 grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Judge Crane had been a member of the Baptist church for many years. For 40 years of his life he taught a Sunday School class. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Cogburn at Arapaho and immediately moved to Roger Mills County, four miles southeast of Strong City, where she lived until the time of her death. She was prceded in death by her husband in 1943. She leaves to mourn her passing five children, Mrs. Goldie Trammell, Cheyenne; Mrs. Gladys Little, North Platte, Nebraska; Robert Cogburn, Strong City; Mrs. Flora Belle Johnson, Elk City; and Sidney Cogburn, Strong City. Nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted in the Methodist church of Cheyenne. Surnames: Cauble, Redwine, West Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/2911 Message Board Post: James Cauble, an old resident of Cheyenne, was instantly killed last Tuesday, while digging a trench for the foundation of the new bridge being built across Seargent Major creek two miles southwest of Cheyenne. The report comes that Mr. Cauble, Johnson Redwine and J.H. West were working on the ditch it seems as though they were throwing the mud that was being removed from the ditch on the bank. When the bank caved falling on Cauble while in a stooping position, breaking his neck, and death came instantly. Redwine was also caught by the dirt almost covering him entirely up, but was not hurt; Mr. Cauble was an old settler in that community and is well known here. He leaves a widow and three children and hosts of friends to mourn his untimely death. The remains were interred at the Cheyenne cemettery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma Wednesday. Funeral services were conducted at Red Star Sunday, March 28 with Rev. Clyde Denny in charge, assisted by Rev. Loyd Martin of Roll. At the age of 3 years she with her family moved to a homestead near Rankin, Oklahoma. Her younger life was spent at home she having attended the schools of that area. On June 13, 1924 she was married to Alva S. Butler. They moved to Pampa, Texas. To this union 2 children were born, Gerald and Kenneth. The family moved to Reydon in 1929 where they lived until 1940 when they moved to Mr. Butler's faather's homestead west of Reydon where they have resided since. She was a follower of the Methodist church and was well known for her Christian-like behavior. She had a real and abiding faith in being a Samaritan as is attested by the fine acts of friends and acquaintances during the last days of her life. Few have had more or better friends than Mrs. Butler accumulated through a life time of mercy, sympathy and conpassion for all who came her way. She is survived by her husband, Alva S. Butler of the home address; to sons Gerald and Kenneth Butler, 2 grandchildren, Sharon Jean and Jaree Jan. her mother, Mrs. Mary Barker of Reydon; six sisters Mrs. Hazel Howell of Mayfield, Mrs. Vera Byers of White Rock, New Mexico, Mrs. Leora Sullenberger of Reydon, Mrs. Edith Brown of Grimes, Mrs. Creda Miller of Texola, Mrs. Ruth Hughes of Reydon, and five brothers, Fred Barker, Earl Barker and Orville Barker, all of Reydon, Glen Barker of Yuma, Arizona and Arthur Barker of Durham. The funeral services were held Thursday, January 28, 1954 at the Reydon Community Building with Rev. Charlie Simpson and Rev. Carpenter officiating. Mary Hayes was united in marriage to John Thomas Blurton, January 24, 1877 at Tioga, Texas. To this union ten children were born. Later they moved to Arapaho, Oklahoma where Mr. Blurton died on February 12, 1901. Mrs. Blurton with her children moved to a farm in Day County in 1901 where she lived until a few years ago. Six of her children preceeded her in death. She leaaves her daughters, Mrs. Irviia Rorabaugh and Mrs. Clara Brewer and six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. The Bennetts moved to the Crawford community in 1902. She was united in marriage to Orlando Rollia Bellamy July 26, 1897. To this union two children were born, a son, Lionel Hadden and daughter, Gladys Carmen. December 26, 1927, she was married to Sherman H. Rimbey. She taught school 26 years in Roger Mills County and several years in Texas. In 1897 she became a member of the Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Rebekah Lodge, and a life member of the Platonic Club. She was preceded in death by her first husband, son, four brothers and three sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Sherman H. Rimbey, of the home address; one daughter, Glayds Carmen Bellamy of Weatherford; a step-son, Milton Rimbey and step-daughter, Myrtle Bartells, both of Glendale, California; three brothers, Kenneth L. and Judson Cunningham of Cheyenne, and Ray O. Cunningham of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, two sisters, Lillie Cross Hammon, of Cheyenne and Mavis C. Kaiser, a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives aand former students and a host of friends.
