She married Joseph Gordis Haigood. I have lots of information on this line but nothing on your William(s) Haigood. My g-grandfather was in McLellan Co. when my grandfather was born. I feel sure there is a link between the Lamar Co. and McClellan Co. Haigoods but cannot trace it. My Haigoods went from 1830's Fairfield Co., SC to Pickens Co., AL to 1870's Lamar Co. Would love to hear from any interested parties.

With his parents, he came to Roger Mills county in 1906, settling near Rankin, where he resided since. He was called into Military Service, April 24, 1918, serving 14 months overseas. On February 11, 1920 he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Miller at Cheyenne, Oklahoma. To this union were born two daughters who died in infancy. Being a lover of nature, he was especially fond of all animals, trees, and flowers. Preceded in death by his father and mother, five brothers, and three sisters he is survived by his wife, Margaret Clay of the home, one brother, Elea Clay, one sister, Manta Wheeler borth of Reydon, and a host of nieces, nephews ande friends. Funeral services were conducted Sunday Feburary 18, 1962 at 2:30 p.m. in the Community Building by Rev. B.J. Dunham assisted by Norman Widener. Buriall was in White Rose cemetery, Redyon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. The Legion Members were Honorary Pall Bearers. Taps was given at the Cemetery by Kenneth Lee King. Mrs. Calvert has been a very devoted member of the Methodist church since early c hildhood, and at her death was the oldest member of the Methodist church here in Cheyenne. She was preceded in death by her husband. Ohter survivors include 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. God has taken to rest another great pioneer woman. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a neighbor to all with whom she came in contact. She leaves a host of friends and other relatives to mourn her passing from our midst. Pall bearers were the grandsons: Louis, Charlie and Memory Sprowls, Randall, Derwood, Jimmie and Merril Dean Caalvert and Floyd Waldrip. Internment will follow in the Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Jewel Monroe Flynn was born November 10, 1914 at Ashland, Oklahoma to William C. and Ollie Riggin Flynn and passed away Sunday May, 18, 2002 at the age of 87. Mr. Flynn started his education at Ashland near McAlester, Oklahoma and at the age of 10 moved to a farm just west of Elk City with his family and 7 years later he met and married Eunice Irene Campbell on January 1, 1939, at New Liberty. They made their home in the Berlin Community where they enjoyed fishing, especially in Colorado, taking care of his cattle and loved the wildlife and outdoors and was known for his kindness to all animals. He was a longtime member of the Berlin Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters, one brother and a grandchild. Survivors include his wife, Irene Flynn of the Berlin home; a son, Preston Flynn and his wife Betty of Weatherford, Texas and a duaghter, Marlene Daugherty and her husband Don of Topeka, Kansas; four grandchildren, Gregory P. Flynn and his wife Tammy of McKinney, Texas, Brent Flynn and his wife Melissa of Richardson, Texas, Alan . Daaughterty and his wqife Cindy of Topeka, Kansas and Sandra L. Shea and her husband Mike of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and five great grandchildren; Connor G. Flynn of McKinney, Texas, Krystal L. Daughterty of Topeka, Kansas, Kyla R. Daugherty of Berryton, Kansas, Maggie R. Shea and Kelly C .Shea of Pleasant Hill, Missouri. The Elk City Daily News, Elk City, OK 20-May-2002

Nadine Williams was born April 9, 1912 at Magazine, Arkansas to Tom and Bertha Bana Mikles and died Tuesday May 14, 2002 at the age of 89. She moved with her family to western Oklahoma in 1927. She was married to Wiley Williams on October 27, 1935 at Berlin. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters and a son, Alvin. Survivors include her husband, Wiley Williams of the home, one son, Ernie Williams and wife Sharon of Brookshire, Texas; one daughter, Kittie Timm and husband Lowell of Sayre; one sister, Kittie Amyz of Seattle, Washington; three grandchildren; seven great granchildren and one great great grandchild.
