Funeraal services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Baptist church in Cheyenne with Rev. Merle Andrews and Rev. Eldean Weiss officiating. Born November 16, 1891 at Plainview, Texas, Mr. Walker was married to Myrtle Kerbie in 1916, at Leedey. They came to Strong City in 1935 where they resided until 1934 when they moved to Cheyenne. He is survived by his wife of the home and two sons, Doyle of Cooperton and Fred of Hammon. Burial was in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins and Son. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK

Burial was in the White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins and Son. Maggie Ann Crockett was born July 12, 1876 in Larned, Kansas and departed this life in Boonville, Mirrouri, February 28, 1963 at the age of 86 years, 7 months and 16 days. She was united in maarriage to John A. Vincent at Crescent, Oklahoma September 2, 1897. To this union were born six children, Alta, Mary, Robert, Vicotira, Rubye and Nettie. The family moved to Hemphill County, Texas in 1908. Later they moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma in 1916. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1945; and three daughters, Alta, Victoria and Rubye. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lee of Boonville, Missouri and Mrs. Lisle Boggs of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; one son Robert H. At that time they returned to Cheyenne where her husband entered the practice of law and they have resided in Cheyenne since. She was a member of the Fist Baptist Church of Cheyenne. She leaves as survivvors her husband of the home, one daughter, Scotty Lou Vincent, also of the home; one son, Wallace Gene and one daughter-in-law, Billy; two grand-children, Donald Robert and Linda Jean Vincent of La Puenta, California; four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Rose, Roswell, New Mexico, Mrs. Dorothy Stevenson, Sayre, Oklahoma, Mrs. Lydia Lovell, Friona, Texas, Miss Lillie Danner, Sayre, Oklahoma, two brothers, L.D. Danner and C.F. Fuchs, Jr., of Sayre. There are a number of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. On the morning of march 10, 1961 in the beautiful words of James Aldrich- "But when the sun in all his state Illumed the eastern skies, She passed through Glory's Morning gate, And walked in Paradise". Mrs. Vincent was a devotedc and loving wife and mother. She always gave her finest to her family and others. Her love and warmth was reflected in all her family and each member felt, consoled and comforted by it. One of her greatest talents was that of home maker. She delighted in her home and in her family. She performed the common place tasks of everyday living in a calm, quiet and serene manner. She made of her home a place of beauty, a haven of rest and love and a place of serenity. She was a happy joyous person, one who laughed easily. By virture of her inner strength she effected the quality of the day. In the final hours of her life she had great concern for the welfare of her husband an her children. She told them of her love and of her abiding faith in her Lord, and advised her family to continue strong in the faith. Friendship was one of her finest qualitites. She tried always to be kind and helpful, patient and loving. In her home, in her church, in her community is abundant evidence of her love, faith and reverence. Dennis lost his life in an accident on the seas, July 17, 1963, while serving with the navy. Immediate survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Trammell of Cheyenne and three sisters; Mrs. Betty Bentley and Linda Trammell of Cheyenne and Mrs. Mary lou Beatty of Memphis, Tennessee. Young Trammel lacked a few days being 21 years of age. He enlisted in the Navy, August 26, 1960. He had served on the Bennington since February, 1961. He was a member of the 2nd Division which is one of the deck divisions of the Gunnery Department. According to information received by his parents from Capt. Charles E. Healy, Commanding officer of the Bennington, Dennis met his death in the following manner: He was standing watch on the faintail of the ship during an Air Operaation. it was his job to keep close watch on the water area within his vision to keep in sight any planes that might have craashed or any buoys in case of a doomed pilot. A shipmate was close at hand and saw Dennis fall into the water at approximately 9 p.m. Since it was a very dark night the exact details as to how he fell have not yet been determined. Instantly the alarm was sounded and all hands on the Bennington plus the two destroyers did everything possible to find the lost crew member. The search continued all night. With the first light of day helicopters joined the search, bu the extensive search failed to locate any trace of Dennis. Mrs. Ida Stauber of the Roll community near Crawford in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, passed away at 11:00 a.m. May 11, 1961 at the Cheyenne hospital. Nearly 60 years ago she, her husband and three little children left their Linn County, Missouri home to become part of a tremendous group that pushed forth to settle in the Oklahoma territory. This Stauber family possessed a courage and faith for a new home on the frontiers where for a few years they faced adverse conditions to establish a home. The faith of their fathers and the heritage that was given them, gaave them the power to accomplish the goal they sought. The first religious activities of this community were held in this Oklahoma home. Through the courage and faith of the people of this community they helped to carve out what we now have of Western Oklahoma. Ida Coulson Stauber was born January 30, 1876 near St. Catharine, Missouri in a two room log cabin. She was married to William Thaddeus Stabuer April 4, 1894. They resided near St. Caatharine, Missouri until they moved to Oklahoma. To this union five children were born. Three are now deceased, namely Joseph Ott, Olive Irene Tracy and Emma Dikes. Surviving are William C. of Crawford and George P. of Dumas, Texas. Her husband preceded her in death in 1935. Other surviving relatives are two daughters-in-law, Inez and Pearlie Mae, a son-in-law E.B. Tracy, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Rev. Lloyd Martin and Rev. W.C. Vernon had charge of the funeral services held in the Crawford community building Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Spencer was a member of the church of Christ. Her husband, one son, and one daughter, preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Rice of Altus; one3 son, M.M. Spencer of Guymon; three grandchildren: Shirley Rice of Altus; Merri6t Elman Spencer of Detroit, Michigan; and Andy Spencer of Guymon; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Hattie Craft of Tulsa; two brothers-in-law and wives, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Spencer of Grimes and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Spencer of Sayre; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Surnames: Simpson, Brigham, Laine Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/3058 Message Board Post: A holiday traffic accident claimed the life of 21 year-old Donald Simpson of Cheyenne early Sunday morning. Simpson was a passenger in a car driven by Jerry Ray Campbell, 20 year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elzie Campbell of Cheyenne. Another passenger in the car was 19-year-old Gary Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Robinson of Strong City. The accident occured on U.S. 283, sout the the Packsaddle bridgeabout five miles north of Roll. For some reason the auto went out of control, hit a bridge bannister, bounced across to the other side of the highway, shot into a ditch and overtruned three times. The car was a total wreck. Both Campbell and Robinson suffered severe lacerations and bruises but their condition is not serious. Both are in the Cheyenne hospital. T.J. Muskc of Cheyenne and J.A. Wood of Reydon were closxe behind the Campbell car and reported the accidnt. An ambulance was summoned and the three boys were brought to the Cheyenne hospital. Simpson who never regained consciousness died about 7 o;clock Sunday morning. Simpson whose funeral services were held Wednesday in the local Baptist church was an orphan boy. He had made his home with Mr. an d Mrs. Maynaard Brigham since the passing of his parents in 1955. He graduated from the Cheyenne high school where he was actrive in athletics. His ability to make the best of conditions and his aim to do his best won for him the admiration and respect of all. Services were held Wednesday in the local Baptist church for Donald Dee Simpson who died early Sunday morning, July 4, 1961 as the result of an auto accident. Rev. Laddie Adams officiated at the services. Committal was in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins of Cheyenne. Donald Dee Simpson was born at Strong City September 9, 1940. He was a member of the Baptist church. Immediate survivors are two brothers, Charlie E. of Amarillo, Texas and James L. of Elk City, and two sisters, Leona Laine, Altus and Jaquita Simpson of Elk City. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK

Mr. Scott was born April 23, 1900 and passed away on October 23, 1961. He had been ill for the past 13 years. In 1928 he was married to Alta Davis. he had belonged to the Cheyenne Baptist Church for the past 20 years. He was a retired farmer, having moved from his farm near Strong City to Cheyenne early this year. Immediate survivors are his wife, Alta of Cheyenne, his daughter, Marie Bradshaw, also of Cheyenne, and a son, Ronald D. Scott of Huntsville, Alabama; his brothers, Loyd, Arthur and Claude of Strong City and a sister, Edna Durham of Caldwell, Idaho. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK

She passed away at 9:30 a.m. September 14, 1961 at the Community Hospital after an extended illness. She became a member of the Lutheran Church at an early age. She was married to Paul A. Schmidt in 1910 and to this union were born a son Fred and a daughter Amelia. They resided 2 miles west of Crawford until 1920 then moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma, until 1938. They retired and made their home in Cheyenne. Mr. Schmidt preceded her in death in 1949. For the past five years, Mrs. Schmidt has lived in the Creswell Rest Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. She leaves to mourn her passing a son Fred Schmidt of Durham, Oklahoma, and a daughter, Amelia West, of Amarillo, Texas, a grandson Ronald Schmidt of Durham, Oklahom a, two granddaughters, Regina and Aleta Schmidt of Durham, Oklahoma, one sister Emelia Ecklunk of Bryan, Texas, and one brother, William Bornemann of Austin, Texas, and a host of other relatives and friends. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Edith Cox, Grimes and Mrs. Lilian Casady, LaJunta, Coloraado, his mother, Mrs. Edlizabeth Sanve of Grimes and a brother Edward L. of Cheyenne. King and Beatrice E. King on November 26, 1891, at Old Reno City in Canidian county, Oklahoma. She departed this life September 27, 1962. She was preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter of the home address of Reydon. When she was an infant her family moved to Washita county, Oklahoma. In 1900 they moved to Roger Mills county where she spent 53 years of her life near Reydon. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the Eastern Star. On June 21, 1908 she was married to Charles W. Rowen. To this union were a son and daughter born. She leaves to mourn her passing a son Bryce Rowen of Albuquerque, New Mexico, a daughter, Charlene Trusler of Elk City, one sister, Mrs. Addie Abbott of Reydon; three brothers, George W. King and Joe B. King of Oklahoma City and William K. King of Elk City; three grandsons and one granddaughter; also many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held in the Reydon community building, September 30, 1962, Johnny Freeman and Rev. Tittle, officiating. Committaal was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins and Son, Cheyenne. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
