He lived a true Methodist life. He was united in marriage to Oline Victoria McFarland on December 28, 1893. To this union 11 children were born. Two preceded him in death, a son in infancy and a daughter, Hazel Beebe. Left to mourn him are his wife Olline Caudle, and a son, Millard, of the home address; Telman, Sacramento, California; Bill of Strong City; James of Sunray, Texas; Paul of Sentinel; Gertrude Fleming of Claremore; Effie Forest and Millie Duke of Dumas, Texas; and Cordelia Archer of Strong City; 25 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted in the Baptist church in Cheyenne with Rev. A.L. Martin of Crawford and Rev. Clayton Hughes of Cheyenne in charge. Committal was in the Strong City cemetery, Strongt City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK

He spent his childhood in Navarre County, Texas, and grew to manhood at Rush Spring, Indian Territory. In 1898 he came to Roger Mills County with his father and homesteaded near Reydon. Plagued by lifelong ill health, he led an active life until he had a heart attack in 1954, and was compelled to slow down. Only his iron will kept him ffom being bedfast until the last week of his life, when he was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage which paralyzed his throat. He died January 19, 1959 at 6 a.m. in the Cheyenne Municipal hospital. He was a loving father, a devoted husband, an upright citizen and a good neighbor. He is survived by his wife, Helen, their daughter, Rosanne, his son, Trammell and his half sisters and brothers, Kate Corvin, Lewis Wheeler, Sam Bowman and Philip Bowman. He entered the Marine Corps in November of 1953, serving in the Korean Conflict and was discharged in November of 1957. He was united in marriage to Laveta May Habecott, December 23, 1955, in the home of her parents in Ellis County. They lived in San Clemete, California until his discharge. To this union three children were born. Ed was saved during the County-wide revival in 1957 and united with the First Baptist church in Cheyenne. what a blessing to see this family, saaved and follow their Lord in baptism. He served his Lord in his quiet way passing out books and lceaning seats. He was post Commander of the Cheyenne American Legion post at the time of his passing. Survivors include his wife, Laveta; two sons, Carl William and Donnie Ray; one daughter, Brenda Kaylene all of Cheyenne; one brother, Emmett Lee Woods of Inola, Oklahoma; 3 sisters, Florence Thompson; Lola Woods; and Dorothy Gillum, all of Claremore; and his father of Claremore. Welty and departed this life November 10, 1968 at Elk City, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage November 25, 1925 to Edna Allen. To this union was born two daughters, Wayna Jean and Helen. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Edna of the home; one brother, R.A. Welty, Strong City, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Tony and Brenda Yount; 2 nieces aand 2 nephews; and a host of other relativesx and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Katherine; and 1 brother, Vern. He was in the servgice of his county for 19 months during World War I, and was a member of the Cheyenne American Legion. He became a Christian at 40 years of age and often stated he wanted to do all he could in serving his Lord. His greatest desire was to share his Christina Experience with others. Services were held in the Red Star church November 11, 1968 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverand Clyde Denney and A.L. Martin officiating. Interment was in the Red Star Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Edward Wells March 10. 1896, at Harrisonville, MO. To this union were born eight children. They moved from Missouri to Oklahoma in 1900 and filed on land North of Reydon. Except for a few years spent living in Illinois, she has lived in the Reydon community for 60 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandson. She leaves to mourn her children, Alex Wells, Lila Wells, Sadie Polk, of Reydon, Cynthis Williams, Dorrauzette, Texas, Robert Wells, Arnett, Mary Rebbons, Hammond, Indiania, Zeldo Crawford, Camargo, Oklahoma, Eunice Wilson of Ft. Funeral services were held at the Cheyenne Baptist church Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Lloyd Martin, Craawford officiating. Born November 29, 1887 at Topeka, Kansas. Mrs. Walker moved with her parents to Roger Mills county in 1907. She was married June 8, 1907 to John Walker at Red Moon, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Her husband preceded her in death. Survivors are five daughgters, Mrs. Sadie McCaskill, Cheyenne, Mrs. Anna Bingham, Garden Grove, Calif., Mrs. Rosella Farmer, Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs. Mable Thornburg, Scammon, Kansas, Marie Hayden, Cheyenne, three sons, Lester of Oklahoma City, Roy of Cheyenne, Bud of Grimes. Grandsons were pallbearers, David Hayden, Ralph McCaskill, Roy Parkhurst, Paul Baker, John McCaskill, David Sherrill.
