McCollom was born December 9, 1923, near Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. There he spent his childhood. He departed this life 2:30 p.m. December 2, 1958 in the Cheyenne Memorial hospital at the age of 34 years, 11 months and 23 days. At an early age he was converted and joined the Baptist church at Lone Wolf, where he was active in church work. He had a deep spiritual experience and had no fear of death. He attended Lone Wolf schools, grade through two years of high. He then moved with his family to Sentinel, Oklahoma and there graduated from high school. He then attended radio and electonics school at Tonkawa, Oklahoma and more extensive study in Philadelphis, Pennsylvania. He pursued this vocation until his health failed. December 22, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas he was united in marriage to Ruby Quackenbush. To this union two children were born, Marvin, Age 12, and William Lowayne II (Butch), age 6. He is survived by his wife, Ruby, and son,s Marvin and Butch, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.H. McCollom, all of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. E.A. Herron, McLean, Texas and Mrs. Frank Hodnik, Amarillo, Texas; three brothers, Charles McCollom, Roosevelt, Oklahoma, Dean McCollom, Goodwell, Oklahoma, and T.Sgt. Dale McCollom, Big Springs, Texas. His cheerful, sunny disposition endeared him to all who knew him. Funeral services were at the First Baptist Church, Cheyenne, December 4, 1958 at 1:30 p.m. Interment was in the Lone Wolf cemetery, Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in 1938. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Sterne. With her family she moved to Oklahoma December 14, 1889, and settled in the Mulhall community where she grew to womanhood. On March 1, 1896, she was united in marriage to Arnold Dell Hoover. To this union one daughtger was born, who died in infancy. Following their marriage, they lived in Roger Mills County and established a home. While living in Roger Mills, Mrs. Hoover taught school and was a leader in church and community activities, bieng especially interested in those activities involving the youth of the county. Following the death of her husband in 1933, she moved to Stillwater where she lived until 1946. In Stillwater Mrs. Hoover was a counselor and hostess for boys. From Stillwater she moved to Mulhall. Her interests in education and youth continued though her activities in later life were curtailed by physical disabilities. ] She was a member of the Methodist church, the Rebekah Lodge, and attended Oklahoma State University. Survivvors include on brother, F.H. Sterne, Stillwater; four nieces, Bertha jOhnson, Stillwater, Henryettaa Baker, Guthrie, Elmina Sylvester, Mulhall and Hazel Blasier, Lockport, Illinois; an uncle, A.G. She accepted Christ as her Saviour at an early age and became a member of the Baptist church near her home later transferring her membership to the First Missionary Baptist church at Leedey where she remained a faithful member until her death. Mrs. Graybeill came to Dewey County, Oklahoma in 1907 and she taught school for three and a half years before her marriage. She was married to John Boone Graybill on January 11, 1911 near Leedey. To this union were born nine children, two of whom preceded her in death. Besides her husband she is survivedy by five sons: Alvin, Wichita, Kansas, LeDon of Oklahoma City, Nolan, Otha and Dale of Leedey; two daughters, Mrs. Imogene Rounds of Leedey and Mrs. Christine Broadbent of Moorewood; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Necase, Pampa, Texas and Miss Nora Vernon of Elk City; twenty-one grandchildren, a numbef of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. At an early age he joined the Baptist church and was faithful throughout his shor life. At the age of 1 month, his mother passed away. An aunt, came and cared for him and helped with the family. After one year he moved to the home of her brothers, Lawrence and Dan Gillispie. Here he grew to young manhood, reciving his education at Midway, Oklahoma, working as a farm hand and farming two years. He joined the Armed Forces and served in the States and overseas during World War ll. He was married in Japan and to this union one son was born, Charles Warren, Jr. Working across the country from California to Texas he met and married Jerrri Ann Johnson of Independence, Louisians. To this union three sons were b orn, Charles, Jr. Charles Wayne and Lawrance. Gillispie was preceded in death by his mother and 1 son, Charles, Jr., his aunt who raised him, and his grandparents. at an early age he was united with the Baptist church. He was a kind and loving father, son, brother and nephew. Mr. Gillispie was involved in a highway accident Wednesday, June 17, 1959 about 3:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 54-70 north of Alamogordo, New Mexico. The past four years he had resided in Amarillo, Texas and at the time of his death was employed as a machine operator for Maywood, Inc. Mr. Gillispie is survived by Jerri Ann Gillespie, two sons, Charles Wayne and Lawrance Ray of the home, also one son, Charles Warren, Jr. of a previous marriage, also his father, Samuel W. Gillispie of Elk City, four sisters, Mrs. Georgia Hartley of Reydon, Mrs. Callie Holmes of Grand Prairier, Texas, Mrs. Helen Husky of Amarillo, Texas and Mrs. Lennie Malson of Durham, also a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Friday, June 19, 1959 at 9:30 a.m. in the Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chape in Amarillo, with Rev. Sam D. Smith officiating. He was married to Edna pauline Harris January 28, 1917. To this union were born four boys and three girls. They are: Lonard of Artesia, New Mexico, Dale of Santa Clara, California, Delner of Socorro, New Mexico, Bennie Joe of Los Alamos, New Mexico; Mrs. Charlotte Burk, San Gabriel, California, Mrs. Theda Mae Rupe, Yucalpa, California and Floutta Miller, Albuquerque, New Mexico. He leaves besides his wife, Pauline of Portales, New Mexico and his seven children, eleven grandchildren, a brother Thomas H. Gillespie of Colorado Springs, Colorado and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Womble of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. All were present for the funeral. The Gillespie's resided in and near Reydon when the children were small, farming east of Rankin. They also ran a produce business in Reydon. They left Reydon in 1937. At the age of 15 he moved with his family to Kansas where they homesteaded. He later moved to New Mexico where he homesteaded on land that is in the town of Estancia. He was in the drug business there and was married to E$llen Clay in 1912. In the fall of 1918 they moved to Roger Mills County southwest of Durham and farmed until 1938 when he and his family moved to Reydon where they resided until 1951. They moved from Reydon to Pampa, Texas where he made his home for the remainder of his life. He is survived by his wife, Ellen of 508 N. Powell, Pampa, Texas; a daughtger Leona Bell of Durham, Oklahoma; a son, Alvin J. Flesher of Reydon, Oklahoma. There are 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Services were conducted by Jon Jones, Minister of the Church of Christ in Pampa. He was laid to rest in the Fairview cemetery in Pampa with the Dunkel-Carmaichael funeral home in charge. She was united in marriage to Thomas Jefferson Duke in 1895. To this union four children were born. Mr. Duke preceded her in death in 1925. She was later married to Walter Richerson who preceded her in death in 1950. She is a long time member of the Church of Christ and was a faithful member until death. She leaves to mourn her passing two sons, Wester W. Duke of Enid, Oklahoma, and Walter Duke of Fort Supply; two daughters, Mrs. Stella Hanna and Mrs. Jewel McCain, both of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. He and his father built the first post office in Cheyenne and he helped build the First Baptist church in Cheyenne, of which he was a charter member. When the new church at Cheyenne wad dedicated recently he was the only surviving charter member. He is survived by his wife, Lora Lee of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Chenette, Carlsbad, New Mexico, Mrs. Mae Perkins, Pueblo, Colorado, Mrs. Goldie Mobley, Durango, Colorado; two sons, Gibert of Nampa, Idaho, Jack of Winterhaven, California; one stepson, Leland Gibbons, San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. Services were conducted Saturday, December 22, 1962 at 2 p.m. in the Reydon Community Building with Rev. Sanford Cole officiating. Burial was in the Eller Flats Cemetery, Gem City, Hemphills County, Texas under the direction of Scroggins and Son. Nancy Carline (Carrie) Shaw was the daughter of the late J.B. and Nancy Ownbey who resided in the old Hamburg community in the late 1800's. She was born May 19, 1881 in Erath County, Texas, and came to Roger Mills County in the late 1800's. She was married to Matt H. Shaw on December 25, 1902, and they established a home and resided near the community of Hamburg from their marriage until Mr. Shaw's death in 1946. Mrs. Shaw continued to make her home at this place until about two years ago when she moved to Amarillo, Texas, to make her home with her daughter, Teresa Shaw. In addition to her daughter, two sons, J.C. of Durham and Thoral of Lowell, Michigan survive. Her oldes son, Milford preceded her in death July, 1961. Shaw was loading the tractor on a truck by backing it onto it when the lfet hind wheel slipped off the truck causing the tractor to overturn pinning Shaw beneath it. Frosty Estes, a neighbor was helping Shaw and saw the accidnet which occured on a county road 6 miles northwest of Cheyenne. Cecil Bond came along almost immediately and summoned other help and an ambulance. Shaw was dead upon arrival at the Cheyenne hospital. The accident occured about noon Wednesday. Shaw was farming what is known as the Old Thompson place southwest of Cheyenne and it was near there that the accident happened. Milford Shaw was 56 years of aage. He assisted in rearing two nephews, Albert and Thoral, who had resided with him since they were small children. His mother Carrie Shaw made her home with him also, until recently when she moved to Amarillo to be near a daughter, Teresa Shaw. Milford Shaw was a son of Matt and Caarrie Shaw, prominent pioneers of Roger Mills County. Funeral services for Milford Shaw were conducted Satuday morning in the Reydon community buildin with Sanford Cole officiating. Committal was in the Prairie Dell cemetery, Gem City, Hemphill County, Texas under direction of Scorggins of Cheyenne. Shaw was born at Hamburg, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, October 8, 1903. He has lived in Roger Mills County all his life as a rancher. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Owenbey Shaw of the home, two brothers, Carl of Durham, and Thoral of Lowell, Michigan; one sister, Teresa Shaw, Amarillo, Texas. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok

She departed this life Monday, February 12, 1962 at the age of 26 years, 10 months, and 24 days in Chicago, Illinois. She was married to Gordon Rundbland at Napa, California, on June 13, 1953. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Gordon Rundblad and three children, Karen, 4 years, Mark, 2 years, and Kevin, six months; her mother, Mrs. Ollie Wood of Reydon, Lorene Graham, Ollie Hartley, Marie and Barbara Wood of Reydon, Lorene Graham of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Pearline Shafer, St. Helena, California; Three brothers, Pvt. Joseph Wood, Fort Carson, Colorado; J.A. and Buster Wood of Reydon, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 15, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois and burial Sundqay at Napa, California beside her oldes child, infant son, John Robert.
