Stewart. She departed this life April 5, 1958 at the age of 93 years, 11 months and 27 days at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.M. Chandler. She was unite in marriage to John Robert Beatty April 18, 1886 at Cleone, Illinoia. To this union foru children were born. Two children and her husband preceded her in death. She had been a faithful member of the Methodist church. She leaves to mourn her two children, a son, Allen Beatty of Denton, Texas, and a daughter, Mrs. Lucy Chandler of Reydon, ten grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a faithful mother and grandmother as long as she lived. She first came to live in Roger Mills county in 1903. She was a charter member and oldest member of the Methodist Church of Reydon. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the community building with Rev. W.S. Little, pastor, assisted by John Spurlin, officiating. Interment was in the White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma by the side of her husband. Pall hearers were grandsons, Robert, Amos, Leland, Jack and Winsten Gene Chandler and Delmar Beatty. Flower girls were great granddaughters: Mrs. Bill Werner (Wanda Cordell) and daughter, Vicki; Mrs. E.D. Stephens (Jackie Chandler), Mrs. Frances Kremer (Doris Chandler) Miss Sandra Chandler, Miss Carolyn Chandler, Miss Tomasina Prak, and granddaughter Mrs. W.G. Chandler. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK

Rev. Leonard Cronin, Fairview, Oklahoma and Rev. Earl Bengs of Cheyenne officiated He was born September 26, 1896 at Batesville, Arkansas and departed this life May 20, 1962 at the Memorial Hospital, Elk City, Oklahoma. Mr. Tosh came to western Oklahoma with his parents when only a small boy, living around and near Elk Ciy, Oklahoma. On January 1, 1930 he was married to Irene Hacker in Elk City and in 1940 moved to Roger Mills County west of Cheyenne and in 1942 he purchased the farm east of Cheyenne where they madce their home until selling their farm and had recently purchased a hom in Elk City, 411 Eisenhower Street, where they plannced to live in retirement. They were just in the process of moving when Mr. Tosh died unexpectedly with a heart attack. Survivors include his wife, Irene of the home, a daughter, Miss Sue Tosh of Davis, Oklahoma, two nieces Sandra and Barbara Hacker also of the home; seven brothers, Evans and E.W. of Elk City, Iry, Harley and Marion of Medford, Oregon, Lowell of Skellytown, Texas, and Edward of San Gabriel, California; four sisters, Mrs. Alva Baker, Alhambra, California, Mrs. Will Bright, Dill City, Oklahoma, Mrs. Archie Godfrye of Lonewold, and Mrs. Kenneth Long of Dill City. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Burial was in Fairllawn cemetery, Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma under direction of Martin Funeral Home. How blessed is the tie that binds, Our hears in lasting love. So when at last we had to part, In Sorrow and in pain, We know we still are poined in heart. Until we meet again.

In 1894, he moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma and resided there until 1905 when he married Ellen F. Kuder and they filed on a homestead in the Rankin community. Four children were born to this union. He lived on his homestead until 1955 when he retired and moved to Erick, Oklahoma. In 1955 upon the loss of his wife, he moved to Redwood City, California, where he resided with his son, E.A. Cree, until the time of his death. He leaves to mourn four children, E.A. Cree, Redwood City, California; John Cree, Redwood City, California; Perry Cree, Perryton, Texas and Laveta McBee, Salinas, California; nine grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves to brothers: Gus Cree, Visalia, California; E.B. Cree, Springfield, Colorado; one sister, Arry Swanner, Dolores, Colorado. His parents, four brothers and one sister preceded him in death. He leaves a world of friends and many nieces and nephews to mourn his passing. Tom, as he was known to his many friends, was a very observing and intimate student of nature. He possessed the rare quality of recreating experiences with vivid and beautiful word pictures of the life of a cowboy and hardships of the frontier life in Texas and Oklahoma. Although he didn't live to see it he was responsible for the rection of a historical marker aroung a bois-darc tree, planted by his mother, at the side of their dugout west of Panhalde, Texas, which is the one and only tree so designated in the state of Texas. His life spanned the greater part of a century. His wordly accumulations were nodest, nvertheless he has contributed his part to his community by being a good citizen and a neighbor. To this union one daughter was born. he united with the Baptist church at Breezy Meadow. He lived in the Roll community all his life except the last few years when he moved to Alamagordo because of his health. He was a man of high pricniples and a friend to all who knew him. He was a good huband and father and accomplished with satisfaction every task to which he laid his hand. Riley was born at Dodley, Texas December 24, 1923. He graduated from high school worked on a master's degree in 1947 and 1948 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma, and attended Oklahoma State University, graudating in 1947. He was married to Miss Betty Miller at Stillwater, Oklahoma 28, 1945 while both were attending college. To this union three boys were born. They are Wesley John 8, Michael Eugen 6, and Richard Odis 1 1/2. In 1945 they moved to Okemah to acdept a position as veteran's agriculture instructor. He taught there until 1952 when he had a serious heart attack. He went to Kansas City for heart surgery in July 1952, but they were unable to help him there. In October 1952 he had another seirous attack and was flown to Boston for heart surger. At Boston a plastic ball was put in the hole of the septum of his heart. In March, 1953 he was able to continue his job as Veteran's instructor, however in November he had a recurrent heart disorder and was forced to rest until March 1954, when he accepted a position as an insurance salesman with Bussiness Men's Assurance Company of America. He continued in this capacity until August, 1954 when he accepted a position with the USDA at Oklahoma State. Since that date he had been engaged in a special research statistical survey of the problems confronting the farmers throught Oklahoma. He enjoyed his work immensely and had a host of friends throughout the state./ June 12, 1958 he had a recurent heart trouble and went to Oklahoma City for treatment. Sunday morning June 22, 1958 at 10:15 he died suddenly of a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home, three boys, Mike, Wesley and Ricky, all of the home; three brothers, Odis Riley of Cleburen, Texas, H.D. Riley of Irving, Texas and Tom Riley of Dumas, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Ira Cole, Reydon, Mrs. Lowell Malson, Crawford, Mrs. Lois Thomas, Hardesty, Mrs. Geraldine Dufur of Farmington, New Mexico, and Mrs. Alta Reed of Clebourne, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. W.J. united with the Baptist church at Cheyenne in 1943. at the time of his passing his membership was at Cushing, Oklahoma. Rev. She moved with her parents to Wheeler, Texas in 1932. She was united in marriage to Luther A. Pierce December 26, 1934. In 1939 they moved to Roll, Oklahoma and from there moved to Reydon in 1940 and have resided there since that time. To this union were born two sons, John Alvin and Travis, and one daughter, Phyllis, of the home address. She was converted and united with the Baptist church at the age of 19 years and was a member of the First Baptist church of Reydon at the time of her death. She was one who showed Christ to her fellow man by her daily living. Those left to mourn Saretha's departure are her husband Luther, two sons, John Alvin, and Travis, one daughter, Phyllis of Reydon, Oklahoma; her mother, Mrs. stella Megee of Wheeler, Texas, three brothers John Megee of Allison, Texas, Ralph Megee of Wheeler, Texas, and Ernest Megee of Guthrie, four sisters, Sarah Goodman of Wellston, Oklahoma, Myrtle Megee of Oklahoma City, and Wanda Bettis of Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. He was born on October 9, 1878 at Ceves, Morgan County, Illinois. His last illness began with a coronary attack on October 3, 1958, and his condition grew progressivley worse until death came to him in his home on Christmas morning at 8:33 a.m. A funeral service was held in St. Paul on December 26, 1958 at 8:00 p.m. and waws conducted by his son-in-law, the Rev. G. Ronald Wells, pastor of the Asbury Methodist church, St. Paul. Another service was held at the Methodist church at Butler, Oklahoma on Monday, December 29, at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Baxa, local pastor, conducted the serives with the Rev. John Paul Jones, pastor o the Methodist church of Cheyenne, delivering the sermon. Interment was in the Butler cemetery, Butler, Custer County, Oklahoma. Members of the local Masonic Lodge of Butler served as pallbearers. They are L.E. McKowan, Chick Walker, L.D. Kiker, Lawrence Hodge, Bill McAfee and Herman Phillips. Mr. Nichols was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Havre, Montana, his last place of employment which concluded 27 years of service with the Great Northern Railroad. He also was a member of the York Rite of the Shrine. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Anna, and his daughters, Mrs. G. Ronald (Grethel) Wells, St. Paul, Minnesota, Mrs. Edward (Lucille) Schaefer, Kinsey, Montana; his sons, Keaton G. Nichols, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Robert B. Nichols, La Puente, California, fifteen grandchildren, his sister, Mrs. Jodie S. Moad, Cheyenne, Oklahoma, his aunts, Mrs. Robert (Ella) Nichols of Clinton, Oklahoma and Mrs. Justin Scott, Scottville, Illinois. Mr. Nichols settled on a claim 12 miles northwest of Hammon, about 1900. He and his family moved to St. Paul, Minnesota in 1916. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
