Burial was at Eldorado under the direction of the Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne. He was born February 4, 1870 in Rowlett, Ky. and came to western Oklahoma from Texas in 1892. He is a long-time member of the Baptist church and has been a member of the IOOF lodge for 60 years. Survivors include two sons, William M. Ford of Leonardo, N.J., Forest M. Ford of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Curry of McLean, Texas; one brother, C.L. Ford of Colton, California, seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK

She was born August 18, 1877 near Lincoln, Nebraska and came to Durham in 1900 from Nebraska. She homesteaded southwest of Durham. She is a long-time member of the Durham church of Christ. She was married to Robert S. Moffat, who preceded her in death. Later she was married to H.E. Strickland and following his death was married to Earl Estes. Survivors include her husband, Earl Estes of the home address; one daughter, Mrs. Doris Shutltz, Shattuck; four sons C.J. Moffat, of Salinas, California, R.E. Moffat of Durham, M.E. Stricland of Durham and K.C. Strickland of Oklahoma City; one brother, Elmer Rowley of Nebraska; five stepchildren; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Wayne Nation and the Rev. Louis Hancock officiated at the services. Burial was in the Prairie Dell cemetery, Gem City, Gexas with the Scroggins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Estes who were Billy Strickland, Merle Strickland, Eugene Strickland, Fred Curb, Rufus E. Estes and Willie E. Burks. They lived in the Ural community until 1938 when they moved to Reydon where they have lived since. He was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Edwards of the home address; two daughters, Mrs. Lorena Grant of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Mrs. Beulah Parks of Perrin, Texas; one son, James Nathan Edwards of Borger, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Maxley of Enid, Oklahoma and Mrs. Hattie Cherry of Elk City; one brother W.B. Edwards of Fort Worth, Texas; sister-in-law Mrs. Lola Stone Turner of Sayre. He was preceded in death by one daughter and one son. The Rev. Carl Simonton officiated. Burial was in the Thompson cemetery, Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma. Casket bearers were Lee Felter, Walker Duke, Barvin Hickey, Alva Butler, Bufford Ingerson and John Spurlin. Mr. Vick was a pioneer of Roger Mills county, having resided in the Square Top community for a number of years. For the past ten years he had resided at Otis, near Carlsbad. Otto Christopher Vick was born February 6, 1874, at Connersville, Arkansas. A Baptist and a member of the Oklahoma Farmers Union. Vick moved to Oklahoma Territory at the age of 19. He settled near Lexington and stayed there for about eight years. Later, he moved to Cheyenne, where he married the former Della Maud Fullmer in March, 1909. Vick is survived by his widow, a son, Leroy of Cheyenne, two daughters, Mrs. T. Mrs. stephens, the former Dot Sprowls, was a sister of Roy Sprowls of Cheyenne. She grew to womanhood in the Square Top community east of Cheyenne. Prior to her marriage she taught in the rural schools of Roger Mills County. Dot, as her friends, knew her, was a charter member of the Rebekah Lodge of Strong City. She transferred her membership to Elk City where she was an active member at the time of her passing. Mrs. Stephens was active in church affairs. A few years ago sdhe became critically ill, but had recovered from this illness. She passed away as she slept at her home, Thursday afternoon. She was 63 years of age. His parents, Henry Lee and lydia Ann Schackelford, moved their family to Glenrose, Texas where he remained until young manhood. He was united in marriage to Maude Gordon Scales in 1920 in Tolar, Texas. To this union was born four children, Mrs. Maxine Price, Friona, Texas; Mrs. Jerry Hanna, Skellytwon, Texas; Mrs. Nina Joe Woods, Mesa, Arizona; and Ronald J. Shackelford, Oklahoma City. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Gordon, of the home address, his four children; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. John Layne, Snyder, Texas; two brothers Hal Shackelford, Glenrose, Texas, and Bill Shackelford, Colorado Springs, Colorado. His parents and three brothers preceded him in death. He was a loving husband and father, showing love and kindness to every member of his family as well as to his many friends. He also leaves a host of friends in several states that were united with the Great Santa Fe Family. His passing leaves a vaacant place that only God can fill. Reverend Horace Woodard officiated at the funeral services, held in the First Baptist church, Cheyenne. Final resting placw was in the Fairview cemetery, Pampa, Texas. He was married June 1, 1922 to Anita Heberely at minneadpolis, Kansas. He was a member of the Baptist church, Masonic and IOOF lodges. He was a graduate of Cincinnatti School of mortuary Science. He was a former president of the Southwest Funeral Director Association and had served on the Board of the Oklahoma Funeral Directors association. He was past president of the Sayre Rotary and had served on the City Council. He is survived by his wife of the home address; three children, Earl Junior of Elk City, Oklahoma, Jack T., Amarillo, Texas, and Mrs. Bill Grimes of Purcell, Oklahoma. Services were held in the First Baptist church, Sayre Tuesday afternoon at 3o'clock with Rev. Leonard Cronin, officiating. He lived in Denver, Colorado for several years, also worked with heavy equipment in Alaska and Canada before moving to Bensenville, Illinois where he had made his home the past six years. He is survived by his wife of Bensenville, one son, Warren A. Sanve, also of Bensenville, two daughters, Mrs. Letha Roark of El Paso, Texas, and Mrs. Darlene Brigham, his mother, Mrs. C.K. Sanve, 1323 W. 2nd, Elk City, Oklahoma, two sisters, Mrs. Mayo Cox of Grimes, Oklahoma and Mrs. J.{. Casady, Greeley, Colorado, two brothers, Herbert M. Sanve of Grimes, and Edwin L. After earing her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma, she did graduate work at Oklahoma A&M. She taught school for a total of 18 years, and worked for the State Departemtn of Public Welfare for 16 years. On November 1, 1930 she was married to E.P. Salter in Cordell, Oklahoma. No children were born to this union. On April 7, 1955, she died in Oklahoma City, of a heart attack. She is survived by her husband, E.P. Salter, her sister, Elsie Shults, a number of nieces and nephews, two great nieces, two great nephews, and a host of friends. Malson, and to this union was born ten children. They moved from Paoli, Kansasa to western Oklahoma in 1900, and Mrs. Malson moved to Elk City in 1945. She had been in poor health much of the time since then. She was converted and became a member of the Church of God in 1915, and since then has lived a consecrated Christin life. She was a faithful wife and mother, showing love and kindness to every member of her family, as well as to her friends. She was especially kind and tender to her children, and to her neighbor's children. Her patience and endurance under hardship was marvelous. She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters. She leaves to mourn three daughters, June Hill and Mildred Ward of Elk City; Josephine Albright, Amarillo, Texas; five sons, Floyd Malson, Hammon; James Malson, Elk City; Lowell Malson, Durha, Doyle Malson, Amarillo and Willis Malson of Durham. All her children were at her bedsie at the time of her passing. She also leaves 21 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews she had many friends. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
