Glenda was born to Glen R. and Crystal Bradley Smalley on February 27, 1935, in Weatherford and died in her home on Thursday April 13, 2006 at the age of 71. Glenda was raised and attended school in Weatherford. She attended Southwestern State College where she received a degree in Education. On December 25, 1955, Glenda married A.B. "Buck" Creach, Jr., making their home in Oklahoma City. They moved to Hammon in 1963 where she taught until 1984 when they moved to Weatherford. She received her Doctorate from Oklahoma University. Glenda taught and was the counselor at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, until retiring in 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Glenda is survived by two sons, Marty Creach and wife, Karen of Cheyenne, Matt Creach and wife, Misti, of Hammon, one daughter, Lynn Chamberlain and husband, Dennis of Edmond, one sister, Gloria Vernon and husband Bill, of Guymon; one sister-in-law, Jo Hanes, Elk City; six grandchilddren; three nieces and host of other relatives and friends. I had her name spelled differant, but everything else matches. Reydon is where my father was born. Fred Moeller was my Grandfather who had six kids. They were Betty, John, Loise, Glenn, Wayne, and Fred. You don't know how happy I am to learn this. I lost both of my parents in a car accident in 1985 (John Weldon Moeller and Marjorie Lea Tisher Moeller. They were on their way to preach. They had two children (Me- Mary Lea Drum Moeller and Sandra Lea Scheunemann Moeller). I would love any other information you might have. My sister and I are pretty much left alone now. Thank You!

Leonard Abney Ely was born November 2, 1932 at Dempsey, OK to William Crockett and Mary (Abney) Ely and passed away Friday March 24, 2006 at the age of 73. Leonard served his country in the US Army for some 22 years until his retirement. He then taught school; at Burns Flat for some 10 years. He was married to Sally Messecar on April 30, 1955 at Detroit, MI and they lived in several places following Leonard's duty in the Army. They lived in Colorado, Alaska and Germany before moving to Burns Flat in 1975 and then to Canute in 1986. Mrs. Ely preceded him in death in 1989 and in 1991 Leonard was married to Shirley Walker and they have lived in Elk City since. He was a member of the Main Street baptist church and was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, 2 sons, Ronald and Brian, 1 brother, H.C. Ely and 1 sister, Jane Schmidt. Survivors include his wife Shirley Ely of the Elk City home, 4 children, Leonard Ely Jr. and his wife Suprena of Elk City, Cindy Frost and her husband Chip of Pueblo, CO, Melynda Hutton and her husband Shawn of Elk City and Raylyn Walker of Elk City, 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Deaton Williams of Elk City and Frankie Tidwell of Cheyenne and a sister-in-law, Laquita Ely of Cheyenne. On March 19, 2006 she went to be with the Lord. She was 82 years, 5 months, and 22 days. Her parents were Eddie H. and Anne Mary Ferrell. Frady graduated in 1941 frfom Leedey High School. After graduation, which was war time, she stayed at home worked on the farm. Later attended Southwestern Oklahoma State College, and then taught school at the Center Point and Trail schools. In 1947 she married her lifelong friend and neighbor, Chester Holcomb. They lived on his home place their entire married life. She was a much loved mother, grandmother, sister and neighbor. Frady enjoyed attending the Aledo Quilt Club. She was baptized at the young age of 13, and was a member of the Leedey Church of Christ. She spent her time sewing, cooking, and serving others. Survivors include two sons, Garland Holcomb and wife Donna, Danny Holcomb and wife Sharon; her daughter, Marla Vernon and husband Danny; by ten grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a special young man from the Tipton Home, Charles Roberts and wife Sherri and their daughters. Frady will also be missed by her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, church family and host of friends. Services were held Friday, March 24, 2006 in the Leedey High School Auditorium, Leedey, Oklahoma with interment following in Center Point Cemetery. She was the 5th of 5 children and the only daughter. Irene died on March 26, 2006, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after a short illness. Irene graduated in 1944 from CFheyenne High school in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. From 1943-1959 she was married to David Lee Casady. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southwestern State Colledge in Weatherford, Oklahoma in 1962. From 1962 until 1965, she taught high school English in Clayton, New Mexico In 1965, following completion of her Masters in English from Oklahoma Univrsity, Irene returned to Southwestern as a member of the English Department faculty where she remained until her retirement in 1986. In 1966, she married Olen M. Rowlett, who died in 1990. Irene Rowlett was a remarkabel women - she preserved her humor and dignity in the face of difficulties that whould have overwhelmed most of us. She was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Mae grew up working early in her life when she attended school at Square Top she would help fix lunch for the other c children. She was married to Christal LeRoy "Chris" Parks at Sayre, Oklahoma on June 3, 1944. They made their home for awhile in Clinton before moving to California where she cared for 2 nieces and a nephews, Jean, Kay and Flord, who she loved as her own. They returned to Cheyenne in 1959 and Mae began working at the hospital as a cook while working in homes helping others. Sher then worked for SWOA until she retired. In the last few years she was in the nursing home and always loved to have visitors. Mae loved children and her nieces and nephews were her great joy. At one time she had taken care of most them while spoiling them as her own children. A special niece, Teresa Morris, took care of Mae and helped with her needs. She was an active member of the Cheyenne First Baptist Chutrch where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, Emry, J.E. and Earl "Cub" Andrews, 2 sisters, Jo Derryberry, Kizzie Marlin and special sister-in-law. Memorial services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2006, at the West Campus of Saint Stephen United Methodist Church, 7800 West 45th, with Reverends Rusty Sieck and Rich Jones officiating. Interment followed at Llano Cemetery Mr. Duke was born March 19, 1931, near Elk City, Oklahoma, to Jame Walker and Opal Forgey Duke. Following graduation from Reydon High School in Reydon, Oklahoma, he was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving from 1950 to 1954. Following his discharge, he worked for the Amarillo Fire Department, then at the Pantex Ordinance Plant while pursuing a Social Studies degree at West Texas State University. He earned a Masters Degree in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and enjoyed a teaching and coaching career in Texas panhandle public schools, including Allison, Heedley, Clarendon, and Dalhart. In 1953, James married Madge Blanscet in Wheeler, Texas. They have three children, Kathleen Ann Ricken, John Walker Duke, and Jamie Denise Duke. After his retirement in 1984, James studied and documented family genealogy. He and Madge also spent much of their time traveling in the U.S. and abroad, visiting such places as China and the former Soviet Bloc. James taught Sunday school for a number of years at Lakeview United Methodist Church in Dalhart, and presently is a member of the West Campous of Saint Stephen United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Billy Walker "Ike" Duke, and one sister, Oneta Duke Owen. Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Kathy Ricken and husband Shane of Amarillo, and Jemie Duke of Austin; one son John Duke and partner Bassam Zeineddine of Austin; two grandchildren, Melissa Haskell and husband John of Amarillo, and Josh Rieken of Austin; and two great grandchildren, Caitlin Haskell and Christian Haskell, both of Amarillo. Services will be Tuesday, March 29, 2006 at First Baptist Church, Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Arrangements by Rose Chapel Funeral Services of Sayre, Okla. Burial will be in Cheyenne Cemetery in Cheyenne. Local arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Haigood, the fifth child of Minnie Pearl James Haigood and Joseph Gordis Haigood, was born July 31, 1920, on the family homestead west of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He was educated in the Cheyenne Public Schools before attending Cordell College in Cordell, Okla., where he met and then married Doshia Mae Bartlett on Feb. 20, 1941. During World War II, he worked for Douglas Aircraft in Oklahoma City before being called to service. He served with Gen. Bradley's Fifth Army Corps on their drive through Belgium and Northern France and was in the Battle of the Bulge. Under PFC Haigood's leadership, his squad was responsible for the capture of Gen. Von Poppen, the replacement for Gen. Erwin Rommel. For his service he received the Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, with two Bronze Service Stars, World War II Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal with Germany Clasp, Combat Infantry Badge and the Honorable Service Lapel Pin. After discharge from the service, Mr. Haigood worked in the dry cleaning business in Snyder and Guymon, Okla., and Hereford, Texas. He was also a painting contractor which lead to his employment with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Amarillo in 1965. At the time of his retirement in October 1984, he was an assistant engineer supervising maintenance of heating and air conditioning for the entire facility. Soon after retirement, his wife, Doshia Mae, died on Nov. 27, 1984. Wally enjoyed his retirement. He was a conversationalist, striking up a conversation with anyone he met. In later years, he loved to talk about his military service and his "growing up years." He was instrumental in collecting information for a family history. He often bragged about how many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren he had. He was preceded in death by his wife and his daughter, Karen Haigood; his parents; three brothers, Clarence, Alva and Homer; and two sisters, Flora Haigood and Irma Loughlin. Survivors include a son, Joe Haigood, and wife, Loretha, of Amarillo; two daughters, Kay Larkey and Linda Prickett and husband, Norman, all of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Maxon and husband, Bob, of Cashion, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

She was united in marriage to Alexander T. Ayers on December 18, 1896 and to this union four children were born: two sons and two daughters; namely Mrs. Marie Black of Inglewood, Calif., Guy C. Ayers and Clark Ayers both of Rendondo Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Alma Ator of Durham, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.T. Ayers December 23, 1946. 12 days elapsed between their departure. Also three brothers. Sister Ayers was converted and joined the fellowship of the Missionary Baptist Church in 1905. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hammon, Oklahoma at the time of her passing. She lived faithful to her Christian experience, devoted to her church and her family, and was lovd by all who knew her. It is said that a most noblew and brave soul has won the victory. Mrs. Ayers had been in failing health for over three years. She leaves to mourn her passing the four children: Mrs. Marie Black, Guy C. Ayers, Clark Ayers and Alma Ator; two sisters: Mrs. J.D. He raised three daughters and one son who preceded him in death. He was well known all over the county, having served as county commissioner in 1913. He was also well known for his very active work in the Farmers Union. He leaves his three daughters, Lillie Ostrander, Pearl Parker and Ruth Gambill, all of Los Angeles and five grandchildren. He was the son of William Nelson and Nancy Jane Walker. He accepted Christ as his Saviour in early youth and became a member of the Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Amanda Jane Mathis, April 27, 1902 and to this union was born six children Feo Doyle, William Noel, Nancy Merle, Eva Pearl, Helen Elizabeth and Georgia Lucille. Mr. Walker homesteaded in what was then old Day County, in 1904 on a farm near Durham. He was a pioneer who knew the hardships of early Oklahoma. A citizen who always helped in every way to build his community, a good neighbor and loving father. His wife, two sons and one grandson preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his loss four daughters, Mrs. Merle Kendall of CForpus Christi, Texas, Mrs. Pearl Dunlap of Ellinwood, Kansas, Mrs. Helen Henderson and Mrs. Lucille Forrest of Gem, Texas. 15 grandchildren, George Lewis Walker (U.S.N.), Glen William and Zelda Mae Walker, George Edward, Robert Leon, James Adrian, and William Doyle Kendall, Mary Jane, Martha Lucille, William Shepard Jr. and Nancy Elizabeth Dunlap, Wallce Forrest Jr., Gertrude Droddy, Berie and Ardelle Henderson. Three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Sarah Lane Hensley of Crawford, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Janer Cooke of Arapaho, Oklahoma, Mrs. Mary Osborne, Quinn and Addison Walker of Thomas, Oklahoma, and a host of other relatives and friends. Servicess were held at Gem City church, with Rev. Alfred Thomas of Dill City officiating with Rev. Hassingame aassisting. Pallbearers were Glen Cecil, William York, Glen Hosutler, Frank Beaty, E.E. Fox, Clifford Pyeatt,. The honorary pallbearers were Robert Briggs, Thomas Haight, Judson Cunningham, Flake Hammond, D.G. Suiter, and W.C. McKean. Rev. Rea V. Kieinfeld will officiate. Born in Indiana July 24, 1863, Mrs. Hiatt had spent most of her life in Nebraska and Oklahoma. She came to Corning from Strong City, Oklahoma in November, 1945. Shre was a member of he Christian church. Surviving, besides her daughter, are two sons, M.K. Hiatt of Corning and Roy Hiatt of Los Angeles, five daughters, Mrs. Walter Foster and Mrs. Paul Grable of Van Nuy, California; Mrs. Ethel Hibel of Culbertson, Neb., Mrs. J. L. He was united in marriage to Mary Luella Davidson Novemer 19, 1893. They moved to Roger Mills County in 1899. To this union were born five children, one daughter and four sons. One son Joseph Wesley and his wife preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing one daughter, Mrs. Ollie May Woods, three sons, James Ira and Jessie T. of Reydon and Robert Lee of ( line can't read) Jack and Mary June Cole, Willie, Buster, Marie, Lorene, Maxine, Perline, Joseph, J.A. and Barbara Woods, besides many friendsa and relatives. He joined the Freewill Baptist church when young, kep his faith until his passing. He was a faithful father and grandfather. Services were conducted in the school auditorium of Durham, Rev. R.K. Whitaker, officiating and he was laid to rest by the side of his wife in the Fairview cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under he direction of he Tunnard's Funeral Home.
