Susan was a member of the Christian Church and lived a true Christian life. She is survived by her husband, E.V. Miller of the home address one daughter Mrs. Margie Clay and two sons, Lester V. Miller and Vernal Miller, all of Reydon, and one sister, Mrs. Jim Eagan of Hamlin, Iowa. She also leaves nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services were held Friday, April 9, 1948 from the Community Building at Reydon, Oklahoma, with Rev. Horace Woodard officiating. The Fatheree Funeral Home of Erick was in charge of arrangements and interment was in the White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Susan K. Miller was a noble character and passsed to the rest who could ever find time to take in life. Her life is indelibly written in thed history of Roger Mills County. Mr. and Mrs. Miller celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Sunday, April 4th when all members of the family were at home. A song, "Life's Thoughts" which Mrs. Miller composed, was sung at her funeral by Mrs. G.L. Martin and Mrs. N.H. Thurman. He was one of five children, having two brothers and two sisters. At the age of 16, Mr. Doyle came to Oklahoma, to that part known as the Choctaw nation. He met Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Trammell near Rush Springs, Oklahoma and later in 1904 came to Roger Millsw County with them. He was known as "Uncle Chic" and was loved by the entire Trammell family being considered a part of the family until his death May 17, 1948 at the age of 85 years, one month and 23 days. Mr. Doyle was residing with Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Cary of Reydon at the time of his death. Mr. Doyle was a member of the Christian Church and requested that a Methodist minister officiate at his funeral service. His mother was a devout Methodist. Mr. Doyle when young was active in the church as a singer and loved the great hymns of the church, and in later years he was heard countiess times singing them. When he was a young man, Mr. Doyle was a member of the Masonic lodge. He finished high school at Mokane, Missouri. Mr. Doyle was preceded in death by his brother and parents. No information is available concering his sisters. He was laid to rest in the Trammell family plot at the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Georgia Kathryn Gibson at Davis, Oklahoma, August 31, 1929. To this union was born two children, Wandaa Kathryn, age 18, and Benny Lloyd, age 13. Lloyd's childhood was spent in Davis, Oklahoma, and in Ocober of 1929, with his wife he moved to Reydon, Oklahoma, where he lived and operated a business of his own for several years. In 1941 they moved to Pampa, Texas, where he was employed in the oil field. In 1942 they moved to California where Lloyd was employed at the Rohry Aircraft Co. as a mechanic until forced to quit due to ill health. He had been unable to work for the last three months. Since coming to California one of his chief interest in life was the Boy Scout organization. Committeeman of Troop of which his son was a Scout. This Troop presented the Color Guards at the service. The funeral service was held in the Little Chapel of the Roses, conducted by the Reverand Wilton Wirt minister of the Congregational Church of Chula Vista. The body was laid to rest in the Glen Abbey Memorial Park, Chula Vista. Thea funeral arrangements were under the direction of Beubrough Mortuary, North Park, California. He leaves to mourn his passing, besides his wife and two children, his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Martin, three brothers, Roy, W.T., Jr, Billy Joe all of Redydon, Oklahoma. Five sisters, Mrs. Marvin Rowe, Henyretta, Oklahoma, Mrs. Jake Mogg, Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Mrs. Jack Fox, Davis, Oklahoma, Mrs. Bryce Conrad, Pampa, Texas, Mrs. Dwight O. Houson, Ft. In the late 40's she attended beauty school and returned to Cheyenne where she worked for a few beauty shops until she opened her own in the late 50's. In the early 70's she owned and operated the Burns Arts and Gifts where she continued to paint china and ceremics until her death. She was a member of Cheyenne United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie, and one daughter Cheryl Castor. In Leiu of flowers the family woul like for friends to make a donation to the Minnie R. Slief Library in Cheyenne. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrss. Parks was born January 25, 1921 in Panhandle. She moved to Montague County in 1933 and then to Pampa in 1938. She married James A. "Jim" Parks on June 27, 1948 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2004. She has been a resident of Levelland from 1957 until her return to Pampa iun May 2004. She was a member of the First Asssembly of God in Levelland. She was a member and founder of the South Plains Ladies Petroleum Club. Her survivors include two sons: James Keith Parks, and wife Kathy of Odessa, and Rickey Parks and wife Stacey of Boyd. One brother: J.L. "PeeWee" Romines and wife Vivian of Pampa. Three Grandsons: Jeremy Parks of Hale AFB, Utah, Robert Parks of Spokane, Washington and Jerod Parks of Odessa. Two granddaughters: Lexie Parks of Hobbs, New Mexico and Rikki Lenea Parks of Boyd. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Retha Lockridge, four brothers and three sisters. Memorial include BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa, Texas.
