If you can, please email her separately. Thanks Jacque ----- Original Message ----- From: The Cripplecreek Bunch To: hopkinsj@ida.net Sent: Saturday, October 02, 1999 11:09 PM Subject: USGENWEB info sought, PLEASE HI: My name is Paula Cameron Carpenter and I live in CA. I am searching for any information on my great-grandfather. His name was Thomas Cameron. I am not to sure where or when he was born. We do know that he married a woman by the name of Laura Story (3/22/1877 - 5/19/1948) She is buried in Finley, OK. Her funeral was done by the Mills-Coffey Funeral Home in Finley. I am not sure of the name of the cemetary. My step-mother was there some time ago. But she can't remember. Thomas and Laura separated in 1907. Shortly afterward, she married Thomas Edward Lee (10/15/1870 - 10/9/1916) He is also buried in Finley. Next to Laura. According to my step-mother. There are two other graves with the name of Lee next to them. Bertha Lee (1904-1976) and Joe Lee (1910-1977). I am hoping that there may be a copy of the obituary around with names of the next-of-kin of any of the family. Maybe one of them can point me in the right direction to finding my great-grandfather. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Paula cripplecreek@snowcrest.net
This was posted to the OKGEN-L mailing list on 20 Jun 1999 by Frank Mayberry (rambo1@oknet1.net). Pushmataha County Gravesite (A cow pasture alongside US Hwy 270 a single grave) Last year Edward Tackett (Eddie) a long time friend was telling me about this gravesite and I stopped by and copied the information off the headstone. It is a Masonic headstone and is in fair condition to be among the trees where a herd of cows stand and absorb the shade and switch the flies and chew their cuds and look around with their dreamy eyes. Needless to say I tore my best shirt while crawling through the tight stretched barbed wire fence along the highway. Here is what I transcribed to my note book. David J. Spring Husband of Ada Spring Born: 1868 Died: Nov 1, 1920 It is all alone in a nice shady spot about 100 yards North of the highway and exactly 1.4 tenths of a mile east of the Tuskahoma and Choctaw Council House crossroads. Hopefully, someone is keeping an eye on it so it is not pushed over by the cattle that occupy the same area. Someone may be interested in finding out where David J. Spring is buried someday. Bye, Frank Mayberry in Muskogee, OK Hope someone is looking for David J. Spring and his burial place.
