    2. Jacque, After reading a few inquiries see I could add a bit more info. My research is for Robert Blye b. c.1853 d. 1927 in Ok. and Vicey Angeline Bynum Blye b. c.1855 in Ar. They had the following children that I know of. Robert A., b. c1876 in Ar., Mary E. b. c.1878 in Ar., Visey E. b. c.1879 in Ar., Dora Belle [my gg-grandmother] b. Jan.1, 1880 in Ar., Linnie, Andrew, [may be Robert Andrew], Kate, Alise, Ruby, Cara. Possibly moved to S.E. Ok. about 1900. Had a farm and Robert Blye Sr. became a county judge at some point Donna [Dlbh2ofall@aol.com]

    2. Actually I am still in the beginnings of my research. I am trying to pin down exactly which county my ancestors are from and Push is one of them. The Antlers area. The surname I am researching in Blye. My name is Donna Boden and my e-mail is Dlbh2ofall@aol.com. Thanks

    3. Donna, There is NOT a place on the web site to enter your name and surnames. You submit them to me and I put them on the web site with a link to your email if anyone wants to talk to you about your surnames. I am currently updating the site so you need to send them to me. Once the new page is up, there will be links to submit queries, bios, obits, deeds, pensions and wills of surnames you are researching in Pushmataha County. I will send an email to everyone who is listed as a researcher and also to the Push Co list when it is up and running. 2. Thanks for writing, it could very well be Albion instead of Albany. I only heard Albany from my father who doesn't remember his mother since she died when he was 2 years old. I only started my family tree a year ago last April. The only information I had was all word of mouth. I have found out that word of mouth is not always accurate, lol. Thank you so much now I have another avenue to research. Carol Davis auntiemama@aol.com

    3. Donna, I would be glad to, but I need the surnames you are looking for in Push Co. If you will go to the current site http://www.rootsweb.com/~okpushma you will see how they are set up -- Name of researcher and then the surnames of who they are looking for. Also, could I add your last name on the list? If you don't want me to, I can just put your first name and your email address as a link. I also looked for any Norris names, but found none. I am sending a copy of this reply along to several other lists I am in, in hopes that someone there may be able to provide you with info. As far as "tracking down all references to Indians to help find her" - I am on several lists that help people search for Indian ancestors, and since I am sending a copy of this to those lists, it may be that someone might either recognize the names you mention, or may be able to offer additional suggestions, beyond what I have, to help you . A couple of other suggestions, you might try looking for a list concerned with the NORRIS surname, and also lists for the area in PA and KS here on rootsweb, if you can narrow down the associated counties in each state, or even just the general area, for example: Southeast PA (SE-PA-L ?) or Northwest KS (NW-KS-L ?). Also, although you do not mention what tribe she may have belonged in, there ARE various rolls of Indian Tribes that were created, such as the "Dawes", "Miller", and others. You may be able to locate her, whether she was of Indian blood, or married into an Indian tribe, by searching among the various rolls. You also mentioned that your ggrandmother placed your grandfather in the Denver Orphanage. I am assuming that is Denver, as in Colorado? You said that she moved west from PA to KS, but didn't mention a link, other than the Orphanage, to CO. You might try searching records in the CO area, and even trying to search for info with the Orphanage (note: it can be very frustrating to try to get usable info from Orphanages/Adoption agencies, depending on the Privacy laws of the State they are located in). You might also check with the LDS (Latter Day Saints - Mormon) Family Centers - it can be very surprising to find out how much info that they have collected from all the different sources for genealogy! I have located several 'missing links' in my family history through their records. One last suggestion, when you ask on lists for help, it is best to provide as MUCH information as you possibly have *available* if you have it, such as: "I am looking for (full name, including maiden name if a female), who was born in (date - day/month/year) in (location - city, county, state). His/her parents were (father's name and mother's name including maiden name, if available). He/she married (spouse's name) in (date) in (location). They moved to (location) in (date). Children include: (names) born in (dates) in (locations). Other information I have includes (whatever other hints, clues, facts you may have)." The reason for this is, although someone might not have any info on the PERSON, they MAY say, "Wow, I don't know who this person is, but I have a cousin that might be related to the spouse (or an uncle that was born in the same town that year, or whatever)." I have had a few people contact me with information that has really helped me, for some of the strangest connections to the info I have provided - nicknames, places, events, etc. You never know what clue might trigger a response! A friend of mine once got a reply from the son of a neighbor of his grandparents, who recognized the name of the family pet of her grandparents, although he had forgotten her grandparent's names! You never know.... Keep in touch, as I have several URL addresses for various locations that you may find useful. Good luck in your search! Kevin Clapp mac-tire@nts-online.net

Dora Belle was married to William Stripling and lived with her parents along with her children Walter, Claude, Linnie, Lonnie, Hester, Lucille, Ruth, one still living. Robert died in 1927.
