She and her sister Pearl were born in Mineral Springs, Arkansas and later moved Oklahoma with their parents William Johnson (no other infor) and Ida Hendricks b. May 1893, died Nov 22 1963. Essie Lee Johnson b. Aug 11, 1919 in Mineral Springs married Sep 4, 1940 in Pleasant Valley, OK Sidney L. Herndon b. Jan 15, 1917 in Broken Bow, OK d.
