Mary Jane Spears Holbert was Cherokee (quite possible from Indiana or Illinois)was my great grandmother married to Marvel Greenberry Holbert in Sulphur Springs, TX. "Green" was from Virginia, West Virginia, South Carolina areas - and at a place called Holbert's Cove. His father is believed to be John O. Halbert/Holbert from VA. Hope this helps some.
