I'm looking for anyone who knows about the Champlain family of Pontotoc County. Namely the family of Albert W. & Alvaretta Champlain. Their daughter Ethel Elizabeth married my grandma's uncle George Andrew Dame and had children: Mary Alvaretta "Alva", James Everett - infant, Rubye Viola, Opal Blanche, Warren - infant, Wayne Andrew, and Troy. Troy recently told me that Ethel's family was on the way to Pontotoc from Michigan via Randolph County, Arkansas where the Dames were living at the time, and Andrew met Ethel on the wagon train. They married, and her family continued onto Pontotoc. The family lived in Center, then Happyland. Brandon in California
