No one in the family had heard of her until I found her name in a divorce record. According to the birth certificate, Jewell Grace Dawson was born 28 Dec 1927 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Only one Jewell with this birthdate comes up in the Social Security Death Index (and one Jewel). She was a resident of Ada, Pontotoc Co., Oklahoma who died 15 Oct 1996. I'd like to get background info on Jewell D. Rhodes to see if she could have possibly been my father's lost cousin. Maybe an obit would help. Any info appreciated!
